So I got the new Xbox360 wireless adapter, after about a month of my pelican wireless adapter failing to work(previously it did). I have literally tried everything at least 3 times to no avail. What am I to do?

Go to the initial setup option and try to reset your Xbox. Press the guide button and go to settings and go to system settings, then go to initial setup. I don't know if this is going to work but I thought i'd at lease try to help. I hope it works.

It says IP address could not be obtained. Then I try a static IP and none of them work, even though they should.

I have a lot of problems with my wireless router, i know this isnt the same problem your having but i can get on the live through it but i can barely connect to anyone and it takes forever to join games. I end up just plugging my xbox through my modem then my connection is fine.

Get rid of it and use an ethernet-over-powerline setup.

Wireless may be more convinient, but I will always prefer running a hard wire from a router to my xbox. Wireless connections are too finicky and unreliable for my gaming taste. I know I probab ly didn't help you out at all, but I will wish you luck in solving your problem. :P
