lol ahhh the old, it's broke you slap it technique. Reminds me of my granddad, his TV broke and he was wearing steal capped trainers and he kicked the TV screen in...his foot went right through it lol...
I tried that but it only ended up working for a few days before it gave me the RRoD again. Then, i tried the towel trick, and my 360 has been working for over a month.
I tried the towel trick this morning before going to work. and nothing. Fast forward 8 hours and it works. And i called microsoft already!!!!!!! I guess if it doesnt break again in the next 30 days ill just have to cancel my order
The red ring of death itself is not the problem with broken 360's, it is just a sign that there is something wrong with the hardware, which means anything inside the 360, slapping, or in some cases sqeezing the console may fix it, depening on what the hardware failure was, but chances are it wont do s***
