well it may sound crazy but i play gears so much until it says disc unreadable. for each and every one it has said that and im really tired of it. the game is extremly addictive, and i think any other fan of gears of war could agree more

dude, if your disc is becoming unreadyable, you got some problems, cause thos discs can last a freaking long time. maybe your system is having a siezure.

I get the same issue, but I would almost guarantee that it is the console causing that message. Before you say anything, my console doesn't freeze up on any other games either. With 7 discs though you would have had to think it isn't the game disc itself

ROFL @ Sand crystals! yeah, id like to see someone play a game enough to do that to a disc. seriously man, its impossible unless your disc is getting raped with scratches. maybe treat your stuff better. Ive put months worth of hours into games, and never had that issue. Hell, i still got a starcraft for PC that works, and i cant even imagine how many hours that disc has spun. so for you to tell me that your going thru a gears of war disc like that, on a system thats only been out like 1-2 years.......i dont think so.

Damn man, I gave up on Oblivion after two discs and that was my favourite game for 360. Gears can't be THAT good.

Uhh Why would you even buy 7 copies of a medicore game like gears. I can understand the first purchese, and then getting it a 2nd maybe 3rd time since its becoming unreadable but man you have to stop at a certain point.

Sevens disks seems a little far fetched, but I dont know ou so I will take your word. I would assume that either the breakage is beig caused by the machine itself or user related issues. Do you move your 360? If so, dont keep the disc in it. Im not trying to treat you like a child or anything but Ive seen too many people complain about broken discs and when I ask them if they move their 360/ transport it, if they take their disc out? They say yes and I later find out they didnt. Temperature may play an issue as weel, the discs are getting too hot or too cold where you store them. Try not leaving them in the system when you are done playing. Im sure there is more stuff you can try but Im tired of typing. Good luck with your latest copy.

well then maybe rethink how you're treating these discs. Because I've never actually had a CD, DVD, Game DVD, or anything become unreadable. Maybe also check... the humidity of your house? Because obviously something isn't right, and it's probably the environment your disc is in. :?

7 disks??? Either you're exagerrating or you have a serious problem on your hands. The only disk i had to replace was Oblivion which in all fairness was second hand and more scratched than Anne Robinson's face

Maybe there's something wrong with your xbox! I got Gears the day it came out and been playing it for at least 5 hours a day, every day and still work without any problems. It has not even froze up on me, not even once. So it's either your xbox or you're just one unlucky dude :D

You simply can't wear out a CD/DVD by playing it a lot. Cartridges, yes. Cassettes, yes. Record albums, yes. But not CDs. Either the disc is scratched or just dirty, or there's a problem with your system. Could be something as simple as dust or hair on the lens.

Dude, I burned through 3 discs myself before my xbox finally totally crashed. You have a bad laser or whatever in your xbox. Pretty soon you will probably get the three red lights and then you will have to send it in to get fixed.

Seven? Wow. Do you swith the X-box position from upright to lying down every few minutes because it gives you a nasty look or somthing? Because I agree, you cannot break a disk simply from use. I still play Parasite Eve 2, a Playstaion game released in '99, on a PS2 I got on launch day that I can guarantee has some overuse issues.

Damn. You must really like that game. The only time I've even come close to that was when I bought MGS twice b/c of a scratch...
