This update that Microsoft did is really pissing me off, because I can't do combined payments anymore!? If I bought something that is $10 and I can't use the the balance in my account of $5 and use another payment like Paypal to pay the rest. I used to be able to do it that way with points why not with dollars!?

Yeah. At least in the US, this is sh*t. So now I'm going to be taxed when I buy a points card AND when I spend them. How the f*ck is that going to work?

"This game is $20. You bought a $20 Xbox card. With tax, it comes out to $21. Sorry! Better buy another card to make up the difference!"

Microsoft, I know that points don't work well everywhere, but they do here in the US, so... why not switch the rest of the world to currency and leave us alone!?

And PS everybody, the currency, unlike points, expires.

Also, it seems to me that the xbox guide graphics changed a little with the update. Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, I noticed that too. The green when you highlight an option looks like it got darker and the letters look different. Taking my eyes some time to get used to it.

So do I lose my current points... like, if I don't spend them soon because of this change?

Here's their link for the FAQ: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing-and-shttp://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing-and-subscriptions/account-management/microsoft-points-retire-faqubscriptions/account-management/microsoft-points-retire-faq

Now my question is, I had like 50 points left on my account but don't see anything for currency. Yeah, it would only be like 50 cents or something but it's the fact of the matter. I paid for those points and they should be converted into some kind of currency. What's up with that?

I had a left over balance of a $1 and they let me use it towards a purchase.

I loved msp. I got so many good deals on them and ended up paying way less with them.

Sucks they changed it.

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/billing-and-subscriptions/account-management/microsoft-points-retire-faq Asker: Can I split payment between my local currency and a credit card? Microsoft: "Yes, when your local currency balance is not sufficient to pay for the content, you can charge the remainder to your credit card". That shows you that once again MS lied and screwed us over. You guys are fools if you're going to go buy their XBOX One.
