I know other people have experienced this but does anybody know how to treat it? I've had my 360 about a month now and i've already got this disc problem.. Just when i thought i was finished with my ps2's "Disc read error" i've run into this.. :S .. First it was Madden 07 non stop.. then i bought Gears of War yesterday and TODAY i got the unreadable disc error.. Anything on how to treat or completly STOP this!? thanks :)

Its just the 360 overheating a bit because of its tri-core system. Just give it time to rest and try the disc again and it should be fine.

Thanks, I've been thinking about getting an Xbox 360 cooling attachment, but a friend says it did damage to his and Microsoft wouldnt replace it since it wasn't a Microsoft product.

If the disc is fine then its just the cache. Hold down A button while ur game is starting up all the way until the intro is done.

This happened to me in oblivion and even when i reloaded my last save point i would always get disc read errors in this 1 area... i cleared my cache like someone told me to do and it worked fine.

The Xbox 360 is a bug box, it has alot of bugs and glitches that can't be ironed out witha patch or something, just try to keep your discs clean and scratch free, still however the problem does occur it's because he Xbox 360 has a very precise laser reader, an early model that has been changed in newer consoles, the slightest problem with a disc can cause it to screw up.

Actualy, the 360s drive is far from accurate. Its well known to strugle with the simplest of issues. But its like that because its cheap to make. All I can say is, if you had already seen people posting about the issues before you bought the console, then this is your own fault for not taking the advice of the many others. If you think this is the worst it can get, then you're going to have alot of fun over the next 12months.
