My XBOX just started freezing up and just got the 3 red lights... I bought it used from a friend. Will Microsoft still fix it under warrenty? If so how do I go about sending it to them?
if you go to xbox.com, click on support and go through the repair agent (on the right) and enter your console serial #...It'll let you know if it's covered under warranty. From there you'll be able to send in for the repair if it's still covered.
I just got this on mine...needless to say I am not impressed!

It will be under warranty, even though it's 1 year warranty is done. Anyone that has the 3 Red Lights (hardware failure) is covered by an extended 3 year warranty...ONLY for the 3 red lights problem though.
Now good luck on getting it back in a timely manner, a couple of my buddies had theirs take over 2 months! :shock:
