Thoughts On BioShock.

I am currently playing BioShock for the first time. I like the game even though the graphics are slightly dated. So I was wondering what do you guys think? Does it live up to the 96 Metacritic score it currently holds? Also how long is it roughly, I am currently on Fort Frolic?

The original Bioshock in no way has dated graphics. Those are some of the best on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It is easily one of the most original as well, if not the most. The score is right on, and the game itself with length largely depends on skill level.

Im playing my second playthrough now actually. Amazing games, one of the best games ive played on the xbox and definately earned the praise.

It's not dated whatsoever. The game is amazing and fun to play. It's decently long but also depends on your skill level. But I popped it in the other day and started playing it again. Definitely deserves its score.

I really could not get into the game what-so-ever. The story may be good and all but I can not play a game with poor gameplay. But I have been wanting to try it once more just to be sure, because rarely do I dislike games and practically everyone loves the game.

bought it for $26.00 used, sold it back to gamestop within 2 weeks. Caught on to the story, but after I (SPOILER) killed the would you kindly dude I lost all of my interest

Bioshock is a great series good story, fun to play & overall one of my all time favorite series. Enjoy

It's an awesome game with a great story. Currently on my 2nd playthrough, on the hardes difficulty and vita-chambers off. Offers a great challenge, as I need to kill the Big Daddys without dying.

What happens when you enter Andrew Ryans office will no doubt go down as one of the greatest moments in video game history. Nuff said.

Bioshock is one of the greatest games I have played. Fort Frolic is about half way through I believe.

The game deserves its score. It was highly original and set new standards for storytelling in games, in my opinion anyways. The game is roughly 12 to 20 hours long depending on how much exploring and how much just plain screwing around you do. It's sometimes fun to experiment.

There is no way that Bioshock has dated graphics. I have to agree with majority here: One of the best games ever. Amazing, unique story, great characters, great gameplay. Everything is perfect...

Uhh Bioshock only the Best ever . The story atmosphere and the crazy things you encounter along the way make this a excellent Ride all the way through . You must be playing it wrong.

i never got to beat it, i when go to the last level,a strange white screen pop up

Meh, would have been perfect for me if it wasn't so short. 6 hours of story gameplay isn't worth $60, flashed dvd drives ftw.

Bioshock has outdated graphics? No way! The graphics are still amazing! And it's 3 years later. The game should take you around 8-11 hours depending how much you explore, and if you take down the big daddies.

An amazing game. I am currently playing it on Hard, killing all big daddies and saving all the little sisters. And also getting all Audio daries. Yeah I want the achievements :P

I will finish it by this weeks end, then I will move onto Bioshock 2!

played the first one through 3 times, and now playing the second one through fro the second time before reach comes out. great games, though yes the graphics are dated in the sense of blurry textures and texture pop-in.

might i suggest u crank the sensitivity of the look up to around 70% instead of standard 50%. has made the second game a lot better

masterpiece of a game. loses a little steam during the final segments, but over all, it's one of my favorite games this gen.

Outdated graphics is a strange thing to say about Bioshock. Still looks absolutely gorgeous.

One of the best next-gen games still IMO, great story and character development. Rapture is a wonderful creation in itself, it's a game that everybody should play.
