Yea the demo was ok, but it had a kind of cheesy atmosphere to it IMO

Yeah wtf i couldnt beat him either i tried all sorts of tactics. I'm much more interested in buying the game now though, i liked the action based battles.

it was ok...but it just didn't feel right...idk...maybe i'm just spoiled after playing tales of symphonia...and now that numer 2 is coming out on the wii and playing this...i think i'm just comparing the two...lol anyways...i really didn't like the vesperia characters...all i really liked was yuri and his dog...the rest seemed annoying IMO but i thought the same thing about blue dragon from playing the demo...bought the game for $20 to give it a try...GREAT buy, i think when rpg games put me in the middle of the game when no explanation on what's going on, then i feel lost and i hate it...but when i bought blue dragon and started from the START...i just loved it so...maybe it'll be that way with TOV...but we'll see

I have not played the ToV demo. However I have played more then one tales game so I know what I'm in for. Looking forward to pre-ordering ToV when I go to pick up SCIV.
I didn't beat him either. I'm guessing I didn't even come close to it. lol. But I loved the demo and how it looked. The voice acting seemed good to me as well. I wished for more in the demo, but I can't complain. It was fun for me.

I tried so hard to beat him but couldn't. I don't think you are supposed to..
that game was alright, i had fun fighting, moving around...kinda, altho the talkin is a little annoying, i guess its not my thing, n when i went to face the wolf boss guy i lost so bad, 1st couple of sec in the fight i died cuz of low health, got revived than fight more, n died again then the rest of my smelly teammates died lol
yeah, i beat him too. Just so you other guys know, there's not much after the boss fight. Just a few more steps and some talking. I didn't use the flowers and I switched my Skills in the Menu, along with some other things so I guess I just got lucky.
The good: Really good gameplay for an RPG and multiplayer is very fun. The best cell-shaded graphics to date, and an excellent control scheme.
The bad: Oh my god the voice acting is horrible. Not on all of the characters are bad but I want to kill that kid. Seriously there should be a warning at the beginning of the game about how bad it gets.
Overall the only thing holding me back from buying it when it comes out is me wondering if I could endure the cut-scenes. I don't mind that the game has a playful attitude at times but I just hope it doesn't get too stupid.
Edit: Oh and the boss is beatable. He really isn't that bad if you have played other games in the Tales series though I did die the first time I fought him.
