Any tips you could give to me for online gameplay

Aim a little ahead of your enemies when shotgunning up close.getyeryayasout

why?

i have a few tips for u....

1. always join whatever team the host is on..

2. never hold the left trigger to aim with the shotgun

3. if there is a boom shot in the map head for it asap...or atleast make sure the other team doesnt pick it up

4. become the master at active reloading

5. when u use grenades throw 1 in the direction of the enemy and then throw the other grenade where u think the person is gonna try to evade the 1st grenade

6. if u have bullet lag shoot where u think the enemy is going

7. if u in a tight spot always equip ur shotgun....if ur in a open area take out ur lancer...if u dont want to take out ur lancer....keep ur shot gun out and try to dodge enemy fire and fight close range from there

8. if u use the sniper make sure ur good at no scoping and also always shoot with a active reload bullet unless ur really good at headshots...and if u down the person with the active reload shot quickly take out ur pistol and shoot from afar to confirm ur kill

9. if ur using boomshot always aim at ur enemies feet....epic added splash damage not to long ago..so even if it explodes by them u down'd them

10. never melee twice with a shotgun....hit once then blast them away

I have my own "technique" when I'm fighting someone with a shotgun. I pretty much just shoot once, jump in a certain direction (left, right, etc.), and then shoot again. I keep repeating this process, and usually they can't hit me as much as I hit them, so I can down them. It annoys me when two people are both standing still and shooting at each other with shotguns, but then they get mad when they get blown up really quickly.

Also, if you want tips for the sniper, you can watch this video, but remember that you'll only become good by practicing.

that's critical, due to stupid lag in EVERY game :(

Just practice man. Thats the only way to get better. Also you should find someone with a very good host connection because it will really diminish the amount of lag. When I play I usually play with a group of friends and we always have this one guy who has a business class connection(I think it is T3 or something) host because there isn't a huge host advantage. You really don't notice it at all for the most part.

Also NEVER aim with the shotgun except for short instances and move around when you shoot it because if you stay in one place you WILL die unless your playing someone pretty bad. I'm a pretty good Gears Of War player but I'm always looking to get better so when I play with friends of mine I always tell them to get on one team and I get on the underdog team with people that are not very good because when you are on a bad team you have no choice but to play hard. When I'm on a good team I take it easy alot of the time nowadays and just mess around because I don't have to prove myself but that can't happen when I'm on the underdog team. It makes you be aware at all times because you will lose if you don't. Also I make sure I root for my teammates no matter how bad they are because it seems to help when someone believes you can do it. Plus you are only as good as your weakest link in my book. Just play the game and practice and you will get really good if you do.

1. Be Patient. Don't go charging into the middle of the map. Instead, try to be somewhere you can watch your enemy's movements without being seen.

2. When going around corners, take them as wide as possible, as far away from the wall. You never know who is waiting with a chainsaw on the other side. If you must go around a blind corner, melee while doing so.

3. Check your 6 often.

4. If there is only 1 guy left, stay with your teammates and don't split up. Entire teams can get taken down by one guy if they are separated.

5. Remember, you can usually get someone to back off just by charging the torque bow

6. If someone is roadie running at you, don't think you can down them before they reach you. Instead, jump to the side out of their line of fire.

7. Remember that the boomshot only has 2 rounds. You can often goad your enemies into wasting them

8. If someone is down and the other team has the boomshot, be wary of going to revive them. It could be a trap.

9. Remember your smoke grenades.

10. In the right hands, the Hammerburst can be deadly.

-Maintain Control

Do not let being shot at cause you to make bad decisions

-Keep L Trigger Usage To A Minimum

The bullets come out approxiamately at the center of the screen so its pretty easy to aim. However you are much more likely to kill someone charging you with the roadie run with a well placed shot in the head with a shotgun.

-Be aware of Your Surroundings

-Always watch all your flanks and communicate the whereabouts of enemies to your teamates. This will equal to less times that you are flanked or somebody creeps up on you.

-Choose Your Battles Wisely

If you are in a two against one situation where you are the single player do not attempt to fight two people at once. Become comforatble with the roadie run and always try to sneak up on your enemies when you get a chance. If experience has shown me anything its that the longer you hide the further away the other enemies will drift from eachother.
