To everyone with problems about 14 yr olds on XBL

I'm fourteen as well and agree, but the matter of fact is that there are always going to be jerks on live who are more immature than anybody because they are just plain jerks (I used a word beside jerks but it was censored). There's no getting around it. There are ALWAYS going to be people who will read stuff like this and automatically disregard it just because the oppinion came from someone who is younger than they are.Mariofreak1216

Let me start off by saying one thing; I am 14. Now, let me get to my reason why I posted this. Stop trying to prove yourself and just play. People only have problems with jerks and immaturity, regardless of age. It just so happens that most of those people are younger.

I don't know how old you are but let's just say you were 14 when Contra came out on the NES. And it had online. Wouldn't you want to be able to play that game online without people being jerks to you.

I think the 'older then 14 yr olds' in this topic have proven that immaturity isn't an age thing. You seriosuly can't enjoy a game becuase someone on it has a high pitched voice? Seek help. The M rating isn't so you can avoid kids... I've seen racism before, and sexist people, but I don't even think thier is a name for people who bigot peoples age. I agree, restricting us till 17 years old is pretty harsh. Not to mention in the state I live in now about a year ago they made it ILLEGAL to buy M rated games unless you had proof of indentification saying you were over 17. I'm fourteen so if I can't drag my mom or dad out to the store I can't buy anything. I don't know about you guys but I think thats pretty unconstitutional in the censorship scheme of things.

As much fun as there is to be had on XBL anonymity and a microphone tend to bring the worst out of people, no matter what the age. Most games give you the option to mute individual players. It's my opinion that it's the best way of dealing with that kind of trouble.getyeryayasout

I also am 14 and I don't care about people saying I shouldn't be on Live. Just because I'm not an adult doesn't mean I act like a little kid. Besides, I beat (in whatever I'm playing) over half of the people than hate how I sound and whatnot. But, in the end, it doesn't bother me because I'm used to it because I've been playing online since I was 9 back in the Socom PS2 days.JMart0492

Why do you feel offended. People don't like the screamy kind of 14 year olds (and lower sometimes) What makes you think people don't like the mature ones? It's just that most kids that age are, it's just a generalization, a correct one but that doesn't mean EVERY single one is.

The 14 year olds tend to be really good though, I wonder why:P

i played with a lot of kids and im 16 years old , and most of these kids are very respective even more than some mature guys.

EDIT: i just met one kid on lost planet demo who is keeping to make cat sounds that was annoying as hell.
