Im thinking of getting an Elite, but I have a question first.....
My HDTV only goes up to 1080i, so I was curious if HDMI makes any difference for my set up and is it a big difference from the current HD connection on my premium?

The hdmi should not be the main reasono to buy an elite. You should only(premium owners) buy the elite if you could see yourself actually needing the hardrive space.

Component will carry 1080i for HD-DVD and games, no real reason to upgrade to Elite if you need the HD space just by the hard driver separate.
Dude don't bother... just get the bigger harddrive after which will come with the transfer cable. The elite doesn't come with it. The elite is a good purchase for people who don't have a 360 yet or have a gigantic 1080p tv with a crazy audio setup.thats me :) i got the elite b/c i need hdd space and my previous premium was dying so i made the switch. got the transfer cable from someone at work.
