wow, im surprised so many people mention how much they loved Legend...Anniversary was a much better game and experience, reliving the original (and best) game in the series.
If you people enjoyed Legend and are planning on getting Underworld...you must play Anniversary.

really? wow...#1 was my fav in the series and i think the remake was a very well done transition....i had it on Wii, didn't finish it (half way)...i'll get it for 360 (the controls for Wii sucked) eventually.

Legend is my favorite but its really not fair to compare it to any of the pre-360 tomb raiders, I liked #1 when it first came out but wasn't feeling anniversary
Downloading right now. It will occupy my time until the UPS guy delivers Fallout 3 and Littlebigplanet.
:P
Oh crap. And I'm working. Damn real life, getting in the way of entertainment! :x
I'll have to DL it this afternoon, to check it out tonight. Hope to see some impressions soon.
Thanks, but with Farcry2 (PC), Fallout 3 (PC) and Fable 2 (360), my gaming schedule is full at the moment hehe (also just got Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 for my DS aswell)
Then Gears Of War 2 (360) and Left4Dead(PC) are coming later, cant wait!
The new Tomb Raider does look cool, but theres just to many top notch games out and coming out to care about tomb raider atm.
I thought the demo was pretty fun.
My only real complain is that I thought the camera was a little to close to Lara.
vashkey
Spot on. Did your camera ever get stuck between Lara and the wall if you were climbing up something?
cant. MS joke of a silver account.Tjeremiah1988
Can't you just buy a Gold account? Or maybe dig up a free trial from somewhere?

I never said a years subscription did I? You can buy as little as a 48 hour trial on Ebay if you wanted to, and even if you don't want to do that I'm sure somebody would throw a spare trial key your way, I know I would if I had one laying around, just so you could download a few demos.

wait, that's a bad thing?
I liked the demo, and will get the game sometime. I have some other games to play through first.
I made a YouTube video of the first minutes of the demo.
So fill me in guys, I was under the impression that Tomb raider was a fairly average/mediocre series that was essentially one of those games doomed to the 'Action/Adventure' genre. I.E. solve a rudimentry puzzle, engage in repetitive combat with simillarly repetitive enemies, platform with bad camera, rinse and repeat.
Is that just a misconstrued sterotype,or is that pretty much right.

Wrong. Tomb Raider was one of the best game series around, up there with Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil. It has not been as good since (as I mentioned before) the Prince Of Persia style, but as far as I'm concerned it is still an excellent series, and quite a lot of fun to play. Like Silent Hill Homecoming, I will probably still pick up this game, regardless of what reviews it gets.
