Hello there, I have a two question before purchasing it.

I'm not going to go live or download anything since I can do that with my brother's 360. (He barely lets me but I can sneak on lol). I just want to play xbox 360 games and have enough space to save lots of games. (CoD, Tales of Vesperia, etc)

1) Should I get the arcade type? Will it have enough space to save a lot of games?

2) I heard xbox 360 have lots of problems but does these problems occur often? Like the RROD, E75 or w/e it is. (1 rings, 2 rings, 3 rings)

Thanks and don't tell me to get the ps3 since I don't want it yet until FF13 comes out.

You want the 360 with the 'Jasper' motherboard. This will most likely have the least amount of problems with RROD and other crap. You may have to settle for an arcade version, but you can buy the 60gb online kit thingy and boom: you have a poor man's pro bundle. Also, a Jasper Xbox will have a higher resale value on eBay (provided you mention and explain this to potential buyers).

Here's how to find one: http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/10/inside-an-xbox-360-jasper-ben-heck-dissects-the-mythical-consol/

PS3 slated for a $100 price drop sometime in April. Xbox Pro for a $50 price drop in June.

Why can't ur brother share!? How r u gonna have 2 360s in the house? Anyways: 1. You need a hard drive if u plan on saving alot of games 2. If u don't play ur 360 for a mass amount of hours and keep it in a place where it can get some air, ur less likely to get the RROD. I only had it once. 3. FF13 is coming to the 360 as well. 4. There are plenty of great games out that u don't need to play on LIVE. Tales of Vesperia, Fallout 3, GTA IV, Burnout Paradise, Fable 2, Crackdown, Dead Rising, The Orange Box, Kameo, Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Naruto RoaN, Naruto TBB, Soulcalibur 4, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance are what I personally recommend. Especially FF13. Oh and Star Ocean and Prototype.

Hmmm... Should I get the jasper arcade version?

Will it tell me when I'm running low on space to save game?

When I save the game, where does it save it to?

If I need more space, what do I do?

I just want a system that won't break or have any problems that's why. My brother doesn't like sharing. He thinks I'm going to break it or something.

You are gonna want to install the games to your hard drive for the life of your system. The average size for a game is 3-5 gigs.A 60 g hdd would be good for that.

1. You can but if you download a lot of stuff and play a lot of games, I highly recommend a hard drive. You can also install your games so that's a plus.

2. I worried about it too, but luckily, you don't have to anymore. The new Jasper models are out in stores so the RROD will be a thing of the past. I got unlucky and couldn't get a Jasper model, but Google what to look for and try to find one. You should have no problems finding one.

And you don't need a PS3 even when FFXIII comes out because FFXIII will also be on the 360, in case you didn't know! :D

I just want to be able to play games and have enough space to save. I don't care about going on live or anything. I just don't want the 360 to break, RROD or anything. I'm too lazy to have to wait for the warranty thingy.

I can do that with my computer or my bro's 360 but I can't play any games on his.

I don't have a hard-drive so I shouldn't get an arcade?

1. What do you mean install games? You mean I can download games without having to buy the game or only few games? Do I need live?

2. What type has the jasper models? Elite, Pro, or Arcade? I'm still confused on this.

3. Is Final Fantasy 13, versus? Since I thought Final Fantasy 13 versus is for PS3 and Final Fantasy 13 is for both ps3 and xbox 360. Lol, confusing...

Have you ever installed games to your PC harddrive? It's like that. You can install any 360 game to your hard drive and play off of it. But you still need to disc for verification. It's just a good way of saving your disc drive from being used too much and to keep the noise down. I also think it helps keep the system cooler and prevent it from breaking easier.

Anyone of them. Just Google it and they'll tell you what to look for.

You're right, not Versus, just FFXIII. Versus is still for the PS3.

I say you get the Pro/Premium, whichever they call it now, system. I dont think the Arcade has a harddrive anyways. Ive had 1 RRoD, and no other problems, thats all. And you wont have to get a PS3 for FF13, Sony lost the exclusive deal with SE, so its on 360 aswell.

OMGGG what are you guys doing to this kid. PLEASE NOMORE QUESTIONS!!!! LOL. Listen, what I would recommend for what you are looking for I would get the Arcade, definitely. Don't worry about Jasper and blah, blah. Installing games, no. Now i'm going to answer some questions in no particular order since there is 50 of them all with the number 1 and 2 next to them.... 1, Get the arcade. There is usually deals on it where you can get atleast a $25 gift card with the purchase of it, check the store ads from your newspaper or something. The arcade comes with 256MB which I would imagine would be enough to save atleast 2 full games on them, then you can delete after. Atleast 2 games, that's really all you need, if you want Live or HDD get the Pro Starter Kit. If you have HD get Pro. Another thing though is the Pro comes with LEGO Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda, if you think you may like those games i'd get the Pro for sure. Personally I would get Pro or Elite, for you it seems I'd recommend you the arcade. Also the chrome disc tray is not on arcade, it is white, if that matters. 2. 360 is really reliable, if RROD comes then it's not going to happen often your going to have to send that sucker in. No worries they sell them like hotcakes, the 360's are really nice now, I'd say with proper treatment it will do 2 years guaranteed. 3. Installing games just makes it so the game doesn't have to spin, you still have to put the game in and have the game though. If you want to install them then it is a nice feature, if I had a 60 gb I would install of mine. I still have my 20gb for the time being so I only have one game installed but really it makes no difference to me. When i get my 60gb I will install them though, 4, If you get a PS3 for Final Fantasy Versus you are getting robbed. Only FF13, the better game hands down of the 2, will be available on 360. I'd expect those next summer. enough of that... 5. When you save it saves to your memory unit only, whether a hard drive or memory card. If you get pro, the hard drive. If you get arcade, the memory card. 6. If you run out of space and need more, you need to upgrade to a hard drive, you won't run out with a 60gb though unless you leave every installed game on. 7. It doesn't tell you if your running low it tells you when theres not enough space to save, It's all real easy to do. Don't worry about jasper or falcon I think the only way to tell is by looking when it was manufactured. You install the game easy too put it in and I think open the guide you'll find it in there, it will say install game maybe. Please nomore questions PLEASEE lol.

Ah alright, thanks.

Last two questions. I want pro but I want a Jasper model since I don't want my 360 to break, overheat, or anything that I have to return for a new one. I'm a lazy ass. :P

1.) I heard only arcade has the Jasper chip. Is this true?

2.) If I just buy a pro type, will it break, overheat, RROD, or anything?

I have to disagree with you there. And two years guaranteed is not much of guarantee.

By the way, if this "kid" is over 12, I think we have given him more than enough help. Google, man!

there is risk of those things with any model, falcon or jasper. The jasper just helps cool the unit and not make as much noise pretty much, maybe the same with falcon, I think any one you end up with is fine. If you buy a pro and treat it right I think you have a real small chance of RROD and overheating. I see that 360 is much more reliable now..when I first got mine like 2-3 years ago the first one got RROD in 6 months, the next one was 6 months. Then I had the next one for a good year until I dropped it when moving it and it stopped playing games, but never got RROD. My friend had his from launch til a year ago in around Nov. 2007 when he first got RROD. He's had his for over a year with no problems, I've had mine for a good long time with no problems. There is the chances you get the bad 360 but most likely you'll get the good one. I don't know why sdoxas doesn't agree with me but I'd say 360 is much more reliable now than it is unreliable or else it wouldn't be the top selling console it is. 2 years guarantee is pretty good, to think it will be the only one you'll ever buy, don't count on it...but you can get a pro and another arcade it would be $100 more than PS3 for much more fun and time playing. Also, SDOXAS i agree with you thats why I told him nomore questions. LOL that's what i'm saying he's asking a million questions and everyone is answering one of them or just answering something else to create another question lol. You should try google entering keywords like search, which 360 has jasper? you will find many sites..you can ask questions like that because people like you have asked these questions other places. Enjoy.
