Too Human vs Castle Crashers

These games got alot in common. Both has some of these features:

* Much loot to find.
* Online Co-op
* Hack and slash kind of gameplay
* Boss fights
* RPG Elements such as skills and levels (exp).

Imo CC does everyhing TH does but better plus more. You could even say that CC is a 2D version of TH with better graphics and 4 player co-op. Which game do you prefer and why?

I played the demo of each one

I like the Too Human demo, I think the Castle Crashers demo was one of the worst one I've played to date

I like that Too Human was willing to take some chances in the thumbstick control. Castle Crashers on the other hand doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Both games suffer from "wash, rinse, repeat" If you're going to have to deal with that then you should like the main game itself. That's why I wont pick up Castle Crashers but I'll get Too Human sometime.

Well I assume Too Human's online co-op actually works, so that's ONE thing it has going for it. Other than that, everything else goes to Castle Crashers. What a wicked game... too bad they didn't test the online component enough (or at all?)MyopicCanadian

I find it tough for me to tell my friends to buy a $17 (CDN) XBLA game when the online is so broken right now, hehe. I'm still convincing them to try the demo and see if they like it, since I heard private rooms aren't as bad.. but still, I was never able to stay connected for more than one level yesterday.

I chose CC because well... I bought CC and passed on Too Human... CC is worth the price imo. (just wish the online would ****** work)

I'll probably pick up Too Human when it's $25 or $30. I was soooo hyped for Too Human, too. Why SK, WHY?!?! did you have to take such a cool idea/concept and **** it up.

Well, you say they are both the same, but there is one big difference...

Castle Crashers is $15, Too Human is $60.

I have the same opinion of Castle Crashers

I'm really fighting the urge to pick up Too Human. It sounds like Chromehounds/Two Worlds - games that got terrible first reviews but got popular through word of mouth by that genres fanbase, and in fact ended up being great games in my opinion.

Have you seen the Too Human forums? Theyre on fire! All this talk about different loot and charms, secret areas, different character builds and good coop team combinations sounds great. I can understand the expectations for the game probably played a part in it being harshly criticized for not living up to the hype, but it looks like its not the "epic fail" some people are making it out to be.

Where do you get your numbers for development costs and pay scale for the devs and all that?

Then don't you find it strange that most of the people that bought Too Human are saying it is much better than the GS review?

As for CC, 1200MS is expensive for a XBLA game, and as the online seems to be badly broken it doesn't seem such a great deal.

It is getting rather annoying since they seem to be popping up a lot lately. These games are far too different and one game's an arcade game and the other is a full retail game.

I bet a good portion of the people slamming Too Human have never played the game and are going solely off of gamespot's review of the game. fail.timebombtroy
