I know it didn't get a "great" review from most people, but is it unplayable? It seems to have a lot of potential (played the demo) for cool lvl ups and decent multiplayer/co-op. Now its considerably less than 60$; would my friend and I enjoy it if we keep an open mind?

I played 2 hours and had to force myself through that much. I hated it.

Had potential but the clunky controls, combat and camera ruined the game for me.

I wouldn't buy it, but it's playable. But the norsetechno is a bit silly. And I felt that it was way too short.

Too short + shallow combat + Dennis Dyack thinking he's the Messiah = bad game (AKA Too Human)

I loved it, but am unwilling to pay $50 for it, which is the going price here in the Detroit area.

Download and try the demo to see if you like it.

I thought it was a fun game. I would only rent it but it's a fun game. It's worth a play through.

I loved it. It's not unplayable at all. It actually performs rather well and puts many enemies on-screen at once. It's cheap now and well worth picking up.

It was an OK game and i don't think it deserved some of the crap it got from some reviewers, but it was playable and the camera isnt as bad as some people make it out to be. Main problems are that it's extremely repetetive ( the whole ice forest level is the same for like 2 hrs. ), the storyline makes no sense, shallow combat, talent trees not that great as far as customization goes, etc. Basically a hack'n'slash with cusomizable armor and weapons.

I loved playing it, though it does have its flaws - the camera, and dodgy targetting for ranged weapons. The best thing you can do is try the demo and decide whether to buy the game on the basis of how much you like the demo - it is basically the first 20-30 mins of the full game. Expectations for a game change a lot depending on how much you are paying for it. Given how much the price of Too Human has dropped (in the UK it is down to 10 pounds, from a launch price of 40 pounds) it is now a great bargain, and much easier to overlook the shortcomings than if you had paid full price for it. It isn't perfect but I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it, and have put over 200 hours into it over 6 characters

Story makes more sense when you know some norse mythology :P But the game is kinda shallow and lacking, but I still rather enjoyed it.

I think it's a good game. It has great co-op,leveling up is fun,i love searching for better gear, the controls are good once you get used to them, targeting is meh though, and it's easy to change the different camera modes.. One bumper push and the camera gets recentered maybe people didn't know that?

I ordered it last night, I figured the reviews were very mixed but a lot of people had fun with it. I never tried the demo but for $20 it's worth a try.

i only played the demo but i thought it was a fun game. it felt like a button masher but the right stick was the attack. the direction u put the stick in the chracter would attack in that direction.

Was fun, I like it, the problem was that it was kinda repatative, some glitches, and story(Kinda need to have an Idea about Norse mythology).

I liked the weapons and leveling system, and combat if more fluid would have been sick.

I wouldn't buy this one if I were you。

1、Short

2、Tiresome fighting。

3、No Split-Screen mode。。。(I played and tried and found no SScreen mode)

This game is a funny one. You need to invest a lot of time and love into it to enjoy. Having an appreciation of Norse mythology is also a bit of a prerequisite to enjoy the techno spin on the old legends which are done well if you know what there on about. If not, if will go straight over your head.

This game consumed my life for about 6 months. If your into it, you can find a lot to do. Others hate it witha passion. Its hard to recommend because of this, and also because the demo or renting it for one night wont realy give you an idea of its potential.

It's not a great game at all, it's to short, but a perfect candidate to rent, you will have it finished over a weekend and you wont have to wasted money on buying it!!

This game is rather "unique" it has rather dodgy reviews but i thought it was alrite...i have it myself and it's good, but the controls can get annoying, great character customisation...worth a rent or buy?

Well the cost of renting it in the UK is about half the price of just buying the game new, so I'd say just buy it. If you don't like it trade it in, and it has cost you the price of a rental! nothing to lose :) One playthrough of the campaign with one character will take you 12-16 hours, so you can do the story in one weekend, but to really understand it you do need to play it through twice. The way the story is told, many of the cutscenes only make full sense when you know the story. There are 5 different characters to try and play with, and each has to pick either cybernetic or human alignment, so there is a good amount of variety between them and it's worth playing different characters. It will take a few playthroughs to reach the level cap at 50 where the really good items and equipment are found.
