i was just gnna post a similar thread. its starting to get ridiculous! gaming is in its prime but with $60 a pop and similar release dates, a lot of triple A games get past by.

I still way into bf3 but i would love to get saints row 3, halo 1 remake, skyrim, batman etc. however i cannot afford all those games and by the time i finish a game and think to go to one i missed, a brand new awesome game comes out. its a good thing and a bad thing!

I wish companies wouldnt all bank on the "holiday" release period and spread them out more i have passed up so many good games over the past 2 yrs that i do not know if i will ever get to them!

fall 2011 has been a great time for games. But there can never be too many great games. Just not enough hours in a day. a shortage of time to play them.

i have the same problem but in the end it's a problem of luxury. Just stick with one game at a time and if you're bored with it start another. I'm in the middle of dark souls now, i'm not going to quit it to play skyrim

There's no point getting them all at once. Just get one at a time. Buy a new game when you finish your current one. There's a lot of games being released now, but eventually it'll be summer again and nothing will be released for months.

yeah ive already splurged enough for the year although i did get a ton of great deals. Like i only payed$15 for MW3 which i hadn't really intended to buy. Only thing left im looking for is skyrim but i think im gonna hold off unless there some ridiculous black Friday / cyber Monday sell saySkyrim for $30 then i think i wont be able to control myself.

I'm in the same boat.. between BF3, then Uncharted 3, then MW3, now Skyrim is a potential purchase, and Halo tomorrow as well as Saints Row 3, then Batman for xmas, and the new Lego: Harry Potter (huge HP fan, so this is a must buy :P )

It's a very very full last quarter.. and I absolutely hate it.

yeah there really are a LOT of good games that just came out. However, I don't really know of any more games coming out next.

edit: oh and good thing Redbox has games now. so before buying a game you can try it for a day for $2. If you hate it, you'll save $60

I want all of those games ( I have MW3, GOW3, BF3 and batman) I also have a ps3 so I want the new resistence game and uncharted. Tomorrow I plan on selling BF3 and getting skyrim simply because I dont have alot of friends who play it. Then thats it. I might pick up some older games that i missed in a few months like mass effect but I refuse to buy more new releases...

I hear ya OP. The only way I can even afford ANY games is that I have an Amazon.com rewards visa that gives me reward points to spend on amazon. I sold MvC3 towards ultimate, got a few bucks off cuz the preorder price guarantee, then paid for the rest with about 25$ worth of points. Basically free. Then MW3 I got for $17 after said extra points that i saved up as well as the preorder price reduction. I'm really only saving up so I can play SWTOR. I'll ask for the rest of the games I want for x mas. :P Oh the strategies of a poor post-college student with 15k in student loans.

Yeah it came out almost 4 years ago but it's just a great, straightforward but innovative game. Really gave the FPS a much needed refresh. With all the CoD's and BFs today, we could sure use a standout like that again.

Wow, you really lucked out! They're both monumental games for sure. DS1 is amazing. One of my favorite games, as you can probably tell. Have you played the 2nd one yet? I started playing BioShock about 3 years ago....still haven't finished it yet haha.

You haven't gotten it yet? Oooh, you need to get on that fast! Actually, there are a few Walmarts that are handing out MW3 bandanas this weekend. That could be good timing for you dude!

This is gonna be a good Christmas for you then ;) If you go to www.walmart.com/gamecenter there's a playable demo of DS2. At first I thought it was just gonna be some watered down 2D version but they've somehow managed to fit an entire scene of the actual game on there, graphics and all!! And it all works from your browser, I don't know how the hell they pulled this one off. But yea check it out, if you see the Mass Effect 2 demo at the bottom instead, just refresh and you'll get DS2 eventually.
