you wont be saying that when the new update comes out later this yearstarfox2468
ya the installing games to hard drive will be sweet. and the 20 gig will barely do it, so the 120 gig will be very nice to have if you do

The only reason I have a 20 gig HDD is because it came like that on my 360. If the Elite would have been out when I got mine I would have gotten an Elite. I can't keep too many downloads because of the small space (it has like 14 usable gigs of space. My MP3 player holds more!), so I would use more gigs if I could.
[QUOTE="-eddy-"]I'm thinking if I should buy a larger HDD for the games.
Though the HDD's are ridiculously expensive.
They actually dare to ask 140$ for a 120GB HDD! :o

You can always buy an external hard drive. I think 500GB hard drives go for $100 these days.

um think before what you say, people may thing you can use externals on 360s for game saves ect.you can use externals on 360,but only for media.the drive has to be formatted to FAT32.Thats what i do with my external 250gb.and your wrong, the 120gb for 360 is 180$.BUT with all these price drops, hopefully the 120gb hdd will goto like 120-150$

Yeah I take back what I said earlier. I did some research and theres a very limited amount of information that you can actually store on an external hard drive that isn't an official 360 HDD. You can only store music and videos that come from your own source, not the marketplace. You can't store game saves or games for that matter. Guess its kind of pointless to have an external hard drive for your 360 unless you're listening to music. Sorry for the confusion.
I've got an elite. I love having the 120GB hard drive. The bigger hard drive was the main reason I traded in my old premium with the 20GB hard drive. It got to the stage where I had to delete all my Oblivion expansion packs to make room for other stuff.
Downloading high def movies from the movie store was a nightmare. Some of them are over 6GB. Now I don't have to worry. I can download whatever I want. There's always room. I've got loads of videos and demos on my hard drive and I've still got over 50GB of space left.
I'm looking forward to the new update. Putting games on the HDD will be great. As far as memory is concerned it's better to have too much than not enough IMO.
[QUOTE="WWE360Man"]dude,thats like saying" TOO much MONEY" It really is. I'm going through memory like no other.Who thinks Microsoft put to much memory in the 360's I mean who's going to use 60 or 80gb?

the hobo I bought my 361 from (he said this was a better version of the 360) gave me 2 floppy disks with my 360... you're right, I have too much memory.
really though, what's wrong with 60 or 80 gb? my 20 gb sucks. It's really only 14 gb and I already have 5 gb used and I deleted everything I don't need.
Too much memory? What? I uh...
Oh, you mean too much hard drive space! Check it out: Usually when people say "memory," they mean RAM. Harddrive space is usually called...harddrive space.
To answer your question, no I don't think the 360 has too much storage space. If you're into downloading videos or demos, you'll eat that up pretty quick.
