But if you have money you spend it! you would have to buy loads of games to fill that up or download loads of videos and photos & music.

My console only came with 512MB of memory, I must have been ripped off...

But in all seriousness, storage space all depends on your needs. Some people could get by with a memory card while others probably use all 120GB that is offered with the elite system.

There's no such thing as "too much memory" especially when you will be able to store the games on hdd

Well now that we'll be able to copy our games onto the hard drive with the upcoming update, we'll never have too much space. Each game can take up like 7 or 8 gigs of space. If you have 5 games, there goes 40 gigs right there.

60 - 120, is great and is definately needed, are you one of those people that got a 360 while the 20gb was the only HDD model and got all whinney and upset about the Elite being better so you go complaining about it being too much when everyoen knows 120gb is great and it wouldnt hurt for even more, i mean seriously who complains about an eccess of something that you need? Have you really ran out of thing to complain about that you have to complain about a good thing, like those DLC haters who are mad that componies now support their games for close to a year after it launched. These threads and complaints make me throw up a little in my mouth cause they make me sick, we could use a teribyte HDD really, 20gb is way to low you fill it up in less than 6 months unless you dont get DLC, patches, XBLA, and xbox originals.

since this fall your gonna be able install your games whithc is gonna take aleast 5gb each game so to stop your drive spinding all time even making your xbox work less hard making it even coolor and making loading go little bit faster.

umm 20gb is going to be bad increasing the first hard drive to 60gbs making it pretty perfect for avarge gamer. then u mgot your 120gb for people who has nice amount of game that buys alot dlc and bla

so no to your sad question

heres a question u can ask (why did microsoft sell memory cards with 500mb knows u cant do nothi with them

ya the installing games to hard drive will be sweet. and the 20 gig will barely do it, so the 120 gig will be very nice to have if you do

You can never have a big enough hard drive. I have to clear out demos regularly since some of them can take over a gig, and since I have Xbox B/C, that cuts out about 8 GB of my 20 GB hard drive, leaving me with all of 12 GB I can actually use.

I'm thinking if I should buy a larger HDD for the games.
Though the HDD's are ridiculously expensive.
They actually dare to ask 140$ for a 120GB HDD! :o

WWE360Man

The only reason I have a 20 gig HDD is because it came like that on my 360. If the Elite would have been out when I got mine I would have gotten an Elite. I can't keep too many downloads because of the small space (it has like 14 usable gigs of space. My MP3 player holds more!), so I would use more gigs if I could.

Too much memory, LOL...Oh wait your serious, you must not plan on playing many games or deleting your saves, not gonna download any content or store games, music or anything for that matter. I have 120 and would like more, on my PS3 I have 320 gigs, on my computer I have a terabyte. I think you have TOO MUCH time to make pointless threads

You can always buy an external hard drive. I think 500GB hard drives go for $100 these days.

That's what I was referring to. You can normally get 500 GB for 100$, 360 gets 120 GB for 120$.
I don't think you can put a non-microsoft-HDD into a X360. Can you?

um think before what you say, people may thing you can use externals on 360s for game saves ect.you can use externals on 360,but only for media.the drive has to be formatted to FAT32.Thats what i do with my external 250gb.and your wrong, the 120gb for 360 is 180$.BUT with all these price drops, hopefully the 120gb hdd will goto like 120-150$

Yeah I take back what I said earlier. I did some research and theres a very limited amount of information that you can actually store on an external hard drive that isn't an official 360 HDD. You can only store music and videos that come from your own source, not the marketplace. You can't store game saves or games for that matter. Guess its kind of pointless to have an external hard drive for your 360 unless you're listening to music. Sorry for the confusion.

I've got an elite. I love having the 120GB hard drive. The bigger hard drive was the main reason I traded in my old premium with the 20GB hard drive. It got to the stage where I had to delete all my Oblivion expansion packs to make room for other stuff.

Downloading high def movies from the movie store was a nightmare. Some of them are over 6GB. Now I don't have to worry. I can download whatever I want. There's always room. I've got loads of videos and demos on my hard drive and I've still got over 50GB of space left.

I'm looking forward to the new update. Putting games on the HDD will be great. As far as memory is concerned it's better to have too much than not enough IMO.

I got an Elite, big mistake, I don't need 120 gig, never will. I just got suckered in because it was black and thought it would look nice next to my PS3 (which it does, I might add :P)

the hobo I bought my 361 from (he said this was a better version of the 360) gave me 2 floppy disks with my 360... you're right, I have too much memory.

really though, what's wrong with 60 or 80 gb? my 20 gb sucks. It's really only 14 gb and I already have 5 gb used and I deleted everything I don't need.

Does any one know how much a 60 GB HDD would be? Is it even going to be for sale for people like me who have the 20 GB HDD?

20 GB HDD=$100

120 GB HDD=$180

Here is the current prices so someone could estimate the 60 GB HDD's price.

I'm a huge gamer ask me anything about Video Games and I'll tell you, I've got nearly every Major console and I only got my 360 2 months ago and already I've got nearly 40 games and XBOX Live for 1year and that takes barely a quarto of my memory.

Too much memory? What? I uh...

Oh, you mean too much hard drive space! Check it out: Usually when people say "memory," they mean RAM. Harddrive space is usually called...harddrive space.

To answer your question, no I don't think the 360 has too much storage space. If you're into downloading videos or demos, you'll eat that up pretty quick.

I think I heard the 120 Gb HD will drop to $150, but I'm not sure. I'll probably end up getting it just so I can install my current games on it, but 60 Gb will probably be enough for most people unless you're excessive with downloads.

I had to settle for the 20 because it was that or nothing. I think 60 is perfect ballance for me. I can put 3 or 4 of my most played games on the drive and still have room for demos and such. I kind of wish it had been like the PS3 where you can swap it out for cheap. $180 for a 120gig xbox HDD is crazy.
