The main ones I want (which haven't been announced yet) are Orange Box and Mass Effect 2/3.
From ones that we know are coming, the Bioshocks (although I'm hoping that the rumours of a Bioshock remaster pack for current gen are true!), Red Dead and Halo Wars are at the top of my list.
@hrt_rulz01: Nice. The Orange Box would be sweet. After further thought, I'd probably replace my 3rd choice Max Payne 3, with Bayonetta.
They don't have Mass Effect trilogy yet?
That is a crime against gaming.
If I were MS, I would sponsor Mass Effect remaster for XB1, that will move many many systems.
Yeah, I hope Bioshock gets the remaster treatment also. That would be a buy for sure. The first one may be my favorite single player game.
I'd like the rest of the Assassin's Creed series to be backwards compatible. I think it's one of those series that has to be played back to back.
I'm more interested in the old school games from the past, the ones I always like to fire up from time to time regardless of which current gen system I'm playing. Castlevania Symphony of the Night would be top choice, I still have a few locked achievements. Final Fight, love that 2D brawler, used to play it in arcades a lot as a kid. 3rd maybe Lost Odessy, never finished that game, would like to one day.
Speaking of BC titles, we haven't had any new additions for ages have we? I reckon this move to announce titles "as soon as they're ready" instead of once a month is bullsh**... I reckon they have a bunch already working and ready to go (ie. Red Dead Redemption seemed to be working fine when we were able to download it briefly a few weeks ago), but they are saving them for pre-order bonuses etc. Just my feeling anyway.
A big fighting game guy and after logging over into 600+ hours into one game in particular, my list goes....
1. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
2. Street Fighter 3rd Strike (xbla title)
3. Marvel vs Capcom 2 (xbla title)
I have a ps4 right now just for street fighter V, so being able to play those games back on my x1 would be pretty damn awesome. Ofcourse there are several others I want ( they just did SOTN, which blew my mind in a good way ).
Honorable Mention (in no particular order)
1. Final Fantasy XIII
2. AC Rogue
3. RE4, 5, 6. (Prob won't happen since Capcom is remaking those games, and that would take away from their sales).
@TurboGraphix: Third strike would be great, I really enjoyed it last gen and would play it more....also, I have the TE 2 Arcade stick for my XOne that I could use with it :)
@hrt_rulz01: They just announced Halo Wars is BC now, tweet from M Nelson below:
Halo Wars, Soul Calibur II & King of Fighters '98 are now available on Xbox One Back Compat https://t.co/dqhwaL4RWt https://t.co/zKTQJvHUa1

Yeah just saw it... awesome!
I'm sure everyone will make fun of me but I just don't want to buy the xbox one version of grand theft auto V when I already own the 360 version. just seems like a waste of money when its the same game, just slightly better graphics. I own the 360 versions of halo 3 and halo 4 but they included the digital downloads with my xbox one system so I don't see why GTA V isn't on the list
@naturalmenace: Don't see why people would make fun of you, what you are saying makes sense. I bought GTA5 on XOne and I dont regret it, but Ill be honest with you you are not missing out on much by staying with the 360 version, at least that money you can use for a brand new game.
@Alucard_Prime: yeah I would save money if they would include it in the backwards compat list but since they want people to spend more money I'm sure it will never be on the list. I've got my fingers crossed though
A little off topic but I can't seem to get my save file for Borderlands over to my X1. Is it not possible or am I missing something?
A little help would be appreciated. :)
I want WET, I'm getting the game for my 360 soon because it looks like the kind of action game I'd enjoy (but never heard about until recently).
I'd rather play it with my Xbone controller and on Xbone because it makes no sound compared to the loud 360.
For Red Dead Redemption, I'd rather have a remaster. But BC would be nice too.
I want Conker: Live & Reloaded made Backwards Compatible through Rare Replay as well :)
Seems like they are adding some decent titles as of late. Probably shouldn't hold my breath for Bioshock anymore with rumors of a remaster collection on the horizon. Oh well, that's one series that Id pay full price for all three games to be remastered and be 60 fps.
