Top 5 much-needed improvements to Xbox Live

1) Make it Free

2) Real games on XBLA (PNS gets Warhawk and Tekken, for example)

3)Party Chat (talking with numerous people simultaneously when not in a game)

4) Better choice of movies and TV shows onMarketplace (Bridge to Terabithia isthe #4 download people!)

5) Betteronline matchmaking (why don't I only, or at least morethan not, play with other people in the Casual Zone?)

So that's my list... what's your top5?

1. KB/M support for games and dashboard

2. Satellite Radio while on your games

3. Party Chat

4. Fixes for windows messenger

5. Voice chat to windows messenger user on their pc

i dont think it needs to be free and i like the classic smaller arcade games...if i wanted a proper game, i'd go out and buy it on a disc..i agree on points 3 4 and 5 thoughbutterob

The XBLA is better than PSN as of now.

I do agree with having a party chat feature. A way to implement clans across all Xbox Live games would be nice, if it could work right.

My only Gripe is that I wish they had Dedicated servers for ranked matches!phoenaxe

3.) A PS3 like Home feature (with like an avatar and all)

4.) A downloads bar, like at the bottom of your screen and for that matter, quicker downloads.

5.) Forgetting the use of points, and actually showing me money values. example, i buy $20 worth of "points" not 1600.

remove make it free and theres only 4 things to improve

if xbl is free, then it might end up like crap psn....and we wouldnt want that to happen now would we

-It would be nice if they could keep up the quality while offering it for free

-There are some software issues where you can have enough bandwidth to pay for points, but you can't actually download anything. EXTREMELY frustrating

-Improved layout, it's sometimes a little hard to find something, especially tv shows since the lists are getting too long. Categories and mouse support would be nice.

-Reduce the price on the wireless network adapter by about $70

-If we're gonna pay for it, hire some people to go play on XBL to ban those annoying, racist, pre-pubescent, no-talent a$$clowns.

Dedicated one console servers, I mean real dedicated servers. R6V is crap for lag, being from the Uk most of my matches are yellow or red.

Regarding matchmaking: this will only be more accurate in games with sufficient amounts of players. Other things are taken into consideration with matchmaking, namely the amount of players online at the time and the connection status of those players. If there's 10 casual players online and 5 pro's, but the casuals are all very laggy to you, you'll get matched with the pros. Matchmaking by zone isn't a binary system.

Party chat would be nice but it would have to be limited. 4 people would be a nice round number, where you would be able to identify each speaker by voice. Since private chat is separate from a game, there's no real way to implement it without being intrusive, thus, more than 4 people would become cluttered and difficult to use.

I think tagging your name with what music your listening to would be a pretty cool, and simple addon.

Gears of War need dedicated servers BIG TIME!...that probably my only gripe with the game.

Party Chat System - Why can't we talk to more than 1 person?
Free Content Downloads - Themes, gamerpics, and maps
User Submitted Content - Just like youtube!

Thats all I really want at the moment. I don't mind paying for it because I know I get a great service in return. And something like Home would be too gimmicky for me.

Rainbow 6 Vegas doesnt, COD3 doesnt, only game with dedicated gaming servers that I know of are some of the EA ones, Battlefield 2 MC etc. Think maybe some of the T2 ones do also. But R6V does not have real dedicated servers, one console dedicated sucks in comparison.

Im glad we pay, but Sony has forced the devs to do so and its working. Yes they may shut them down as they did with the MGS3 servers, but having the matchmaking option means that if they do its not the end of the world.

I personally feel that

1. Free downloadable content(Maps,Themes,etc.)
2. Free X-Box Live...that would be cool
3. I would like to watchmpeg PC downloaded movies on the X-Box
4. Sat. Radio... Brilliant
5. Do something with "Host's Advantage" Its annoying

What made me sick about xbl pay service is this.

The other day a friend gave me Project gotham 3, i was playing a few good hours and realized that there wasn't that many cars, to my surprise i find on market place 11 cars that were only for sale, it got me thinking, do companies make games and edit out some stuff to sell it on xbl? i think yes and i felt abused that i had to pay 60 points for 1 freakin car. Knowing that know one plays pgr3 online anymore and pgr4 is coming out, it should all be free.

All these little addons and game expansions should be either free or have their price cut by half. Arcade games should be cut by half also.

You already can as of the Spring update. H.264 is supported as well.

I got the update and if im correct it said MPEG4 and i have MPEG. If its the same (which i dont think it is)somethings wrong here

because it wont let me play my movies.
