Top Two Memorable Moments in Games.

What are your top two most memorable moments from the Xbox 360 games you've played? It could be the most poignant, the funniest, the tear inducing. 8)

This thread will obviously be chocked full of spoilers. You've been warned.

Below are mine.

Keep note that I'm just in the beginning of ME so this may not be the most poignant that this game offers.

1. Mass Effect

The Thorian has taken over the minds of the colonists. Shepard proceeds to activate the crane controls to unblock the path towards the Thorian lair...Then, Fai Dan shows up under control of the Thorian and obviously in severe pain. He stated that as a leader, he failed his people. He tells her that the creatures wants him to dispose of you but he hesitates, pulls the gun up to his temple and kills himself. What's even more poignant is that the pain felt is markedly elevated when he refuses what the Thorian orders him to do. In killing himself, he chose not to dispose of another human being and in turn, he's redeemed in his eyes for seemingly having failed his people.

2. Dragon Age

The protagonist comes across the Anvil in Caridin. That city is located in the Deep Roads that's populated by Dark Spawn. The Anvil has remarkable powers: it has the ability to create golems built for protection during war. Caradin, the creator of the Anvil warns the Warden that the Anvil must consume life in order for it spout forth such entities. This is probably the toughest choice I've had to make in a game. Is sacrificing a select few to save thousands a necessary effort? Or is it as destructive as war itself? I chose to side with Caradin in this one. Every life matters, does it not? 8)

1) COD 4- When the A-bomb goes off and your character dies. Did not see that one coming. The way you crawl around for a minute and then die made the whole experience impress a sense of reality.

2) Gears of War 2- When Dom finds Maria. While the result wasn't unexpected, the way the cutscene was done was excellent. (Hon. Mention- Gears 1, the first time I used the chainsaw bayonet).

but for number two....SPOILERS....I would have to say the ending of mass effect 2, no matter how it works out it is very powerfull

1. red dead redemption- at the end i never knew that john marston would die i though he might survive and live a happy live with his family and i was suprised to see his son all grown up and i was controlling him later

mass effect 2 - shepard failing the suicide mission, when he's telling joker to go warn them the reapers are coming then he lets go of the ship. Then later on joker is looking over all the coffins.

the music is probably some of the best of any game ending.

you can fail? damn, I wish I got to see thatOverlord93

well you have to make quite an effort to fail, like purposely do no ship upgrades, do no loyalty missions, purposely pick the wrong people for the last mission. You have to have 2 squad mates live or the mission fails. Also your game doesn't get exported so it's kind of a waste of game time lol.

that's the ending there if you wanna watch it, easier than playing through a whole game.

Yeah, that was also pretty memorable. I remember the route there scared the crap out of me. I seriously wanted to see what * I had to encounter so I ran across that level as fast as I can scared out of my freakin mind. Could only imagine what my pants will look like when I start Dead Space. HAHA. :o

Any games Bioware created have oodles,but more specifically: KotOR 1-- Malak reveals that you've been Revan all along.

Final Fantasy 7--can't pick one spot because the whole game keeps on spitting out amazing moments, but of course the classic scene where Sephiroth impales Aerith is simply fantastic.

(and I just have to throw in Jade Empire as well, when your sensai reveals that he's trained you specifcally to have a flaw in your defense so that one twist of his arm sends you to your death just as you've overthrown the villain from the game!) Sounds corny, but man oh man is it sweet.

• Gears of War 2- when Dom finds Maria is very memorable,one of fewgames thats managed to convincingly portray emotion.
• Mass effect 2- end mission.
• Bioshock- enemy reveal.
• Various points in both COD4 and MW2.

KOTOR - When you find out you are Revan

Halo 3 multiplayer - I fired a rocket which the intended target jumped, but a grenade deflected the rocket into another grenade which deflected it back to the guy that had jumped it, killing him.

Fable - When I found out my mother was alive and being kept imprisoned by Jack of Blades.

KOTOR - When I found out I was Reven all along, somebody I had learnt to hate.
