One year won't kill a console or the ps3 would already be dead. With Fable 2, Smash Bros, No More Heroes, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Ninja Gaiden II I know I am going to have another good gaming year.
As long as good games keep coming I won't worry. We can't say much though, this is only the second week of '08 and there is still about 50 1/2 weeks to make huge announcements. There aren't many exclusives announced but as I've stated before, there is time. Alan Wake is creating more buzz and the possibility of Gears 2 being released this year will keep the 360 in good shape not to mention the few, but solid games already announced. Also, the 360 sells more multiplat units than ps3. GTA 4 will prove that and the exclusive content for the game is sure to leave a bad taste in the mouth of ps3 owners.

i see some games that look great coming out this year and the whole format wars is of no concern for me cause i can't even work yet and a bluray or hddvd player is outta question for me still

actually this is kind of true. A lot of my friendsgot the ps3 lately...it sure is goin to be hard year. I say we need another price drop - ps3 offers too much for the same price as the 360.
I'm REALLY glad that these kind of boards are being made, we need to put the heat on Microsoft!
I read the article and seriously it doesn't say that much and has no facts. I can write a 10 pages article saying 360 going to have a great year in 2008, but base on facts. This article only mentioned the holiday incident and the 3 rings of death. So, how the hell can the writer of the article say that the year 2008 is going to be bad? Even if the 360 lost exclusivity of some games it won't be that bad.
They say it's goin to be bad because they're not targeting all markets to be successful,they're only just releasing games with guns and cars. Whereas to be successful you have to be as diverse and strategic as Sony and Nintendo are with their lineups. Also the fact they haven't mentioned or promised anything within the last few weeks doesn't help. Theyneed something as biglike acquiring new companies and not relying on the people they always have in the past.Basically they need change.
I think this year we gonne see the PS3 getting a little bit better, but i think on the end the Xbox 360 will still win but its gonne be avery close race
