Let me just say that trading in games is a unbelievable rip-off. And you will only get about $1.00 - $12.00 for each game. My advise is to sell them privately.
You can check HERE for trade in values. Thats where I look, but there Canadian prices. I dont know where you crazy americans can find trade in values.
Like everyone else has been saying, don't trade your games in to GameStop. You will not receive much money at all.Revixe06I agree. Better of signing up for gamefly, queuing up some new games, and then sending back the worthless ones.
this site does canadian trade-in values, but I imagine it's not that different from US values, just use the EB Games column

Edit: woops, Davalau already posted it
I was bored and added it up, $87.51, not bad for a bunch of kids games
I'm betting not much more than $18. Honestly, that's a relatively "good" offer for Gamestop. You'd be better to use Craigslist, ebay, amazon, or just standing on a street corner with a "Games for sale" sign......
Edit:
but IF you do go there, please let us know what kind of offer they give you.
If you have a Slackers I would say go there. You can send them the details of your games on their website and they will send a quote back. They tend to get more than gamestop, but your best bet is still ebay although it is the most hassle.
I don't have a EB Games around me..this site does canadian trade-in values, but I imagine it's not that different from US values, just use the EB Games column

EB Games = Gamestop, same company, just different names
You could even list them on Gamespot's game store. All you do is make a account, list the games, they send you a enveloped that's already adressed and you just put it in your mailbox. Pretty simple.
DONT. take them to best buy, they are having a 100 percent towards any game trade and you can go to the best buy website and see what you will get for them.
Best Buy just finished a promotion last week. "Trade-in ANY game and get 100% extra." 6 games got a guy like $144 on a gift card. Dope.
Maybe they'll do something similar again. They usually run 40-50% extra as a normal promotion.

THe 100 percent extra is still going.
Selling on ebay will get you less money. Do people even think about the shipping plus gas to go to the post office?
False. You can just drop games in the mailbox since they're under 13 oz. You can buy 100 clasp envelopes for around $12.Selling on ebay will get you less money. Do people even think about the shipping plus gas to go to the post office?

trading games in gamestop is nice. under these conditions
~when they having their 30-50% bonus going on
~older games like year plus or so. If your trading new game in you only get 30 bucks max without anydays deals vs 45+ on ebay
~15 bucks a year for 10% on trade ins and 10% off is nice. the game informer mag is some what ok nice to glace at for 5-10 mins every month.
~ the few extra bucks 2-5 bucks you might get from ebay/craigslist might not even be worth the the trouble dealing with and end up be better through gamestop. thats what i do with older games.
just remember look up amazon because they are also in used games. remember ebay/paypal both take fees out when you get paid...
like i said you just have to watch what your trading in. No matter what you going come out less through gamestop vs ebay. BUT ask your self, is it worth it. 2-5 bucks, to me not really because like ebay you get hit with paypal AND ebay fees, going to post office, packaging it up, ect. It's useally those newer games where they still fitching quite a few pennies is the problem with gamestop
[QUOTE="Elite_Gamers"]False. You can just drop games in the mailbox since they're under 13 oz. Along with the Best Buy promotion, if you happen to live next to a Hastings, they are doing a promotion this month where you can get $25 extra bonus for trading in 3 games or $10 for trading in 2. I think you can only do 3 at a time, but that could work out quite well for you, getting a possible extra $150 in credit if they accept all 18 games on top of whatever the trade in value is (which probably isn't very high, but the bonus makes it worth it).

You don't pay for shipping, the buyer does. It's all done online. It's 2012 people, there are other options out there. You can literally walk outside and stick it in your own mailbox and put your flag up telling the postman to pick it up.Selling on ebay will get you less money.
