Transfering saves is a no-win situation isn't it?

Last christmas I finally upgraded my launch 360 to an elite...therefore leaving me with quite a few saves I'd like to transfer over. From what I've gathered however, I only have 3 options:

1. Transfer Cable.
2. Memory Unit.
3. 360-specific flash drive (since nothing else seems to work.)

Am I missing something or is M$ forcing me to shell MORE money just to move my saves?

Has it really taken you a year to get around to this? I just used a memory card and did a few trips, its an easy process these days thankfully.

Not every flash drive works. I've used 3 different ones, all 2gb each, and the 360 always tells me that it is 'unstable' and I should get a microsoft one instead. And I'm also pretty sure hard drive transfer cables will cost you money too.Matthewest
