So I just bought the 360 Wireless Network Adapter, and all is not well. I've plugged it into the back of the system, but it never connects. I've gone to Edit Network Settings and the Wireless Settings section is all greyed out. I can't get it to work. The Test Xbox Live connection always fails in the test, and I just can't seem to get that area un-greyed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same exact problem. I've troubleshooted just about everything I can think of network wise. I've connected directly to my router so I know its not the router. Which means it has to be the network adapter. The red light comes on but the wireless section stays grayed which means it can't recogonize it but the xbox has no official way of finding out if thats the problem or not. Has anyone else run in to this and fixed it? I've heard of people with the same problem returning theres and getting a new one and it still didn't work so I don't know.

Hi,

I have the exact same problem. I have contact the xbox 360 customer service and they told me that the device is faulty. I could send it in to microsoft and wait a month the get it back but instead I will try to return it to the store today. I will let you know if my new device work.

The problem is either your router is not compatible with the wireless adaptor, or your network thinks its a intruder and blocks it, to fix this problem you need to manually change the wireless connection setting on your xbox
