Wrong, i use this same headset on my 360 and my Ps3.
The Px21 is an amazing headset and if you go ahead and shell out the clams to get the DSS converter you got the top of the line 5.1 surround sound. I love mine and i could never see changing, but your going to spend around $150 to make this happen.
I own the (relatively) cheap earforce XLC's they do, £20 iirc. They are a must for serious FPS players! Black ops aside they give you a great advantage being able to hear a player running or reloading around some corner.
I say Black Ops aside, because treyarch seems to have messed up the sound, no matter what setting I try I cannot hear the enemies at all, even with Ninja Pro which supposedly amplifies enemy noise...
Def get the x11 i would go as far as getting the dx11, which is the x11's and a turtle beach dss which turns the x11s into amazing 5.1 dolby surrond sound. And i agree with the post above saying that treyarch has really screwed up with the sounds. I sit in a corner with my surrond headset and try to hear the enemy and then a enemy walks right past me without ninja on and i dont hear one footstep. i dont understand it at all.
Get the X11's, you can get them for a little over 40 on amazon. Great buy.

Agreed. They're a great headset. The amount of wires are a little annoying, but IMO, they're better than the wireless ones. Several reviews I read for the wireless ones suggest they cause interference with wireless routers.

I own the Px21 and my brother has the X11. We absolutely love these headsets. They've got identical sound quality, except that the Ps21 has more features and audio adjustments. The Px21 is also compatible with the Ps3 as well. You will be fine with either of them, so the decision should come down to whether you want all the bells & whistles that the Px21 has or if you just want a basic rock-solid headset like the X11. Obviously the X11 will cost you less as well--I got mine for $45 on Amazon.

Get Trittons instead, Turtle Beaches are ridiculously unreliable in my experience. sixgears2
I dunno man...between me and my brother, we have five Turtlebeach headsets--and prior to these we had others. Never had a single problem with any of these. On the other hand, I have Tritton Axpros and have had them replaced twice. Plus the sound quality is only average at compared to Turtlebeach's. My brother got Trittons before we got the Px21 and both models of Trittons he got were defective. Bad buzzing in the speakers, the mic would cut out, etc etc. When we got the Px21, it worked fine--just like the other Turtlebeach's we've had.

The px21 hooks up by a USB port on the 360 and then directly to whatever your audio output is, such as your tv or speakers. It also has a optical cable to hook up in older non-hdmi systems that use a large component. This would require your tv or speakers to have a optical output as well.

i like the old fashoned white xbox 360 mics better since it connects right to the controller and for sound i use wireless headphones
