I planned to buy the x1 but today I went to my local best buy and got the x3 since I changed my mind. So far, its good. The only problem is that when the wireless transmitter is blocked by an object, it starts to make a buzzing sound. Another problem is that when I play at night, I lay in my bed while I play. So that means that I have to move the dang transmitter to my direction so it won't make the buzzing sound. I hate it. It also makes little tiny buzz sounds when there is nothing playing. Anyways, I was just thinking, should I return the x3 and get the x1,(plus best buy gives your money back anyways) so I won't have to deal with the buzzing sounds(plus I'm getting into PC gaming so I can probably use the x1 to plug into my PC and play and chat on the PC). Or should I keep it? Any suggestion and recommendations?

I have an x3 and i love it. Keep it. The x1 is horrible since it isnt wireless and then you couldnt play on your bed (if it is a good distance away). Keep the wireless transmitter in your direction always. I put mine on top of my tv.

Um so it's horrible because it's wired? False. I have both and I prefer the X1. The wire is extremely long. There is little difference in quality and the biggest thing is that I never have to worry about batteries. As for a buzzing sound, I don't hear it with the X1

the biggest draw back to the x1 is the cord which is also its greatest asset. cord is nice for clarity and not killing your batteries but they should have made them with a disconnect. always moving 16ft of cords gets real old real fast. they do sound great though. no buzz or hiss that people have been known to get in the wireless systems. tough call on which is for you. i had to get the x1 since i have a plasma and even turle beach says its an issue with wireless.

Thank Doom and Kit. I have made my decision and I'm going back to Best buy to return the Headset. I think Best buy does return your money back right? IF you have the product and reciept. Anyways, people have made complaints about the x1 making hissing sounds, but thats when you have the wired controller or have the play and charge kit in.

I like my X1's. I don't hear the hissing like others do. The wires kinda suck but it is not a huge deal if you sit closer to the tele while playing.

I love my x3s. But if I had x1s, I'd save my money to get the x4s. They're 5.1 and wireless.
