My MS wireless headset just died on me after 12 months so no way I am giving them another 60 beans. I am interested in the TB x31's or the Tritton 720's. Any recommendation there would be helpful as well.

So my questionsare around set up. I have my 360 hooked up directly to a receiver with an HDMI cable, the output from the receiver to TV is hdmi. So how would I hook up these headphones, do they go directly into the xbox or reciever? What cables do they use to hook up?If I wanted the sound to come from my speakers wouldI have to disconnect the headphones or do I just not turn them on? Can I chat with the headphones but still have sound coming out of speakers? Are they a quality product unlike MS?

Basically I want the sound to come from the speakers but still be able to chat, then when my baby is sleeping I would like to easily switch the sound from the speakers to the headphones. Is this possible?

Thanks

Here is a manual for the X31 showing you how it's all connected up.

As far as switching between speaker output from the tv to the headphones you can do that via the xbox console I believe.

I've got the X3's and they have been great. Good quality. The only thing I have had to replace was the little puck that plugs into the controller for chat as the little end piece snapped off somehow. That was done under warranty even though it was past the 12 month period. But there only about £10 to buy new anyway.

Overall though I would highly recommend them.

With my trittions, One wire goes into the HDD, and connects to the trittion amp thing. Then I put another wire in the front of the tritton amp. which follows another wire which connects to the little thing that lets you choose voice/game volume, mic on and off. and 720 amp or pc. (720 for ps3 and xbox 360) then theres a wire you connect from that to the headset if you want voice chat. .. Did I make sense?
