I just bought a turtle beach X3 headset and it's amazing. You can hear everything going on in Bad Company...I can hear if a vehicle is coming long before it's even in sight so i can get in position with my RPG...I can hear people in a building and tell if they are above or below me. They're just amazing. Does anybody else wear a headset while they play?
YEAH! I also threw down a hundred bucks and am very happy with the headset. The privacy of a world war inside the headset is probably my favorite feature yet. I would like a bit more control over the highs and mids, but the bass boost is still excellent. Whats your thoughts??
These are not true surround sound headphones. However, they do a good job of emulating spacial noise by using multiple speakers around each ear. You can hear things in different directions and elevations. They don't sound as nice as, let's say, the Tritton 5.1 wired headphones, but the X3s do produce some nice sound. On top of that, their wireless and light.
i have to agree. these are the best headsets that i've ever used for gaming. not only can i play my game and hear it without interuption but i can chat using the same headset. now i don't have to try using to headsets at once. plus i agree the sound might as well be just like using my surround sound system. and i was lucky i found a used pair at gamestop and got them for ten bucks since they fall under one catagory for used wired headsets which prices all wired headsets and 9.99.
The X3s are nice, but I just spent the extra money on the real deal headphones. Astro Gaming's A40 Audio system with the fiber optic hook up.. Hopefully I get the tomorrow!

can the x3's be used also with the ps3. because i have both a 360 and ps3 and was looking for a good pair of headphones, but i only want to purchase 1 pair, so my question is, would it work with the ps3 as well, or just the 360?
I didn't know people bought stuff like this, or that these products even existed.
