Since its preowned I doubt warranty will cover it.

Give it a few days and if it doesn't go back you may have to buy a new xbox.

Or if your warranty is dead and you don't have the money for a brand new one, you can be like me and crack it open and try and fix it. Look online, there plenty of things about fix it yourself mods and stuff. Since its overheating I would try the x-clamp repair mod, search it up and give it a shot if you please. Might wanna throw a new fan in it too.

Double check to see if a warranty is still present for the 360, opening your 360 will void an existing warranty, beware.

If your warranty is still good then call xbox and they will send you a box to place your xbox in and send it to them. You should receive a refurbished xbox or a brand new one, depends on the damage and if its repairable.

If im correct, if your warranty is dead I believe you can call xbox and send your xbox in with $140 check or cash and they will fix it or replace it.

If not, there is no harm in trying to fix it yourself, but make sure its your last resort.
