seriously; get yourself a copy of O.D.S.T... If your a Halo fan; you'll love it.
Don't let your pride stop you from enjoying a great game.

Please explain what was so great about ODST. Man I loved the first Halo, and the second also. The third was just a repeat with a few additions and a bit better multiplayer. Now ODST, is a remake of a repeat. They should have stopped at 3, it was suppose to just be a triology after all - now they are at the "milking" stage. Telling someone to go buy it now is a waste, considering how soon till Reach comes out.
I'm pretty sure his "pride" is not stopping him from buying the game, it's the fact that he doesn't want it. I had it, and sold it. Used the extra cash to chip in toward a game I'll actually enjoy playing (DA:O)
I really hope Reach is slightly appealing. I won't be pre ordering like I did with 1-3 though...
O.K..(spoiler allert).. I'll explain myself just for you as you were polite enough to say please..
lol..
Like I said; If he's a Halo fan; he'll probably love it..
First of all lets take into consideration that just because you wasn't all that impressed with certain aspects from the last couple of titles; it certainly doesn't mean everyone else wasn't.. As your well aware; this weird and wonderful world of ours is made up of millions and billions of individuals.. All with individual likes and dislikes..
Personally I thought the game was really good due to Bungie letting the player learn more concerning the invasion of 'Mombassa' from the second title.. O.K.. some gamers like yourself thought it was a step back; but personally I thought it was a step in the right direction.. But that's just my opinion; hopefully you'll resoect it; just as I respect your opinion..
I also found it quite appealing having to hunt down the recorded radio transmissions/phone calls ect left behind by the Mombassa escapee (Apologies for forgetting her name) 'The female that was trying to find her father'..
Playing through the campaign as various O.D.S.T; was also particular interesting; as the Halo universe certainly had an unusual look visually due to the O.D.S.T's Hudd.. Hence the evening combat.. Bungies introduction to the new alien race I found was a pleasant suprise also..
As we all know;; the Halo franchise is well known for action.. O.D.S.T. was no exception.. Many gamers weren't happy concerning the length of this particular title.. But personally I always get far more hours out of the typical shorter single player campaigns than most.. due to being the type of gamer who enjoys exploration; exploration and more exploration.. So for myself; this particular title was quite long ! believe it or not !!.... Could'nt tell you precisley the amount of hours I knocked up whilst playing through the single player campaign, but it was certainly more than what was discussed within the typical reviews found upon site like this..
O.K; your pretty sure that the postee's pride isn't stopping him from purchasing the game, but surely it would be a shame to miss such a title, simply due to the fact that it does'nt contain multiplayer ?!..
As 'most' gamers know; Firefight made up for that.. Not to mention the additional BETA for Reach.
