A Finnish magazine has recently scored an exclusive interview with Ubisoft regarding their up coming Xbox 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction. Here you can see some great looking screenshots and a tonne of information that is in Finnish. The main parts have been translated, and as you can see, the developers are saying this won't be possible on the Playstation 3 as it stands.

- No more sneaking around in the shadows. Apparently you're going to be more like James Bond and infiltrate buildings in plain daylight. You won't have to use force or sneak around as long as you don't act suspiciously.

- According to the article, every single object that is rendered on screen has physical properties and most of them can be used by Sam. For example, Sam can pick up furniture and use it as a weapon, or throw printers at enemies or papers in the face of enemies to gain the upperhand in fights.

- Melee fights are much more than "press this button to hit" this time around. There's different context sensitive attack buttons and as mentioned before lots of environmental interaction.

- Some pretty negative comments about the PS3 made by the devs. They state the fact that they are exclusive to the 360 allows them to do much more than if they were multiplatform, but they also state they doubt they would be able to achieve what they're doing with the game on the 360 on the ps3 even if it was ps3 exclusive.

Those are the most important things in there. Ubi also claims the AI is really good and the magazine says the AI for example makes cover out of chairs and tables.

its just standard biased. happens with pretty much every game that is exculsive. most relevent is dmc4. whcih was impossible on xbox360 apperently, then when it got ported suddenly its not. no game has gone beyond the power of either of these consoles, and no game will for 3-4 years. ubisoft are basically catering to people who actually believe this tripe.

They announced a long time ago i think even before SP:DA came out that the new SP would be 360 exclusive. Saying this now is just an excuse for an already known fact (that they would make the game exclusive for 360). This is just a new excuse or perhaps they have motives to stop working with sony.

I mean they have already said that any multiplatform game would be made on the 360 then ported. That is probably a smarter move since dev costs are higher and it supposdly takes longer to dev on the PS3. Mabye now they just want to move away from sony and stop most multiplatform games.

yea man, and honestly its one of the reasons i really dislike Ubi. Dont make multiplatform games if they aren't worth playing. Stick to your exclusives then. Honestly, i see them as a joke development team. They suck in my books.
