It says its sold out, how is that possible? I planned on ordering it, and now im finding out that the first 25 000 people that downloaded ufc get to watch it for FREE! How do you know if you're one of those 25 000 people? when I go to buy now it says its $0 but when I click buy it says its sold out, does that mean I get it for free or what the hell, how can it be "sold out"?

Your avatar is what I pictured you looked like when you posted this topic.

On topic. It can be sold out because Microsoft probably set limited threshold to how many people can see it.

Yeah, it sold out in less than 3 hrs. They said on their twitter page that due to high demand, they'll be releasing more prior to the event but haven't said how or when. Link below. twitter.com/ufconxboxlive

You should still be able to watch it, just not for free. Like BiT said, it sold out within hours. There was a post on the boards about it when the event was posted.

you wont get it for free, you will pay WAY too much. There are plenty of other ways to watch ufc for less money. NO WAY i'm going to pay $ to watch ufc through xboxlive. A friend of mine orders it on his roku sometimes, and it's a pain and way too expensive. I personally would rather just go to a sportsbar that has ufc on for FREE or watch it at home 'other ways'

Yeah, this is pretty lame. How do you have a free event then let it sell out? I'm sure tons of people like myself would've loved to watch it, especially for free, but seeing as how I work from 9-7pm daily, getting home to do this put me last in the line, therefore seeing the sold out msg. I understand bandwith and all,but Time Warner has no issues when 10s of thousands order it from pay per view, so a big company like Microsoft should have no issues filling the demand. It would have been a really nice bone to through to us Gold members. Heck, I've been a Xbox live Gold member for 8 years, so once I saw this I was in awe. There hasn't been any free stuff on Xbox Live since the glory days of the original Xbox. C'mon Microsoft, fix this.

I watch it on www.pvp.eu. Just type that in google and pick either the first one or second one. It is a awesome site. That's how I get to watch all my Niners games, since I'm on the east coast, which all they want to show around here on the local channels are those dang Panthers. lol

Guys, honestly.. go to a local sports bar with a buddy and grab a couple of beers. They usually show UFC events at sports bars. This will cost you maybe 5 to 10 dollars but then not only do you get a PPV event out of it, you get a couple of cold beers in ya. It's also a lot more enjoyable watching UFC with a bunch of rowdy cheering fans in the room. It heightens the entire experience if you ask me.

Uh. Why don't you? You must not be old enough to go into a bar if you hadn't thought of it.

If that's your thing. I'm not into the whole bar thing, not to mention I don't feel like catching a cab back after drinking. I prefer to watch it with my friends at one of our houses. It does just as much to heighten the experience for me! It is just a little disappointing to finally be able to get a good fight card for free, only not to be able to get it for free.

To each their own man. I have plenty of sports bars around my area within walking distance. And besides, I'm talking about having 3 beers max, possibly accompanied by food. I don't know what you guys do at these events but I'm not exactly stumbling out of the bar completely hammered lol. As for friends, take them with you. The sports bar scene isn't so bad. On a fight night it's usually just UFC fans in there. Get out and have some fun.

I hear you. Like you said, to each his own, and I don't have a problem with those who want to go to a sports bar to watch it, it's just not my type of thing. I'm sure it's fun for those who do. I don't drink anymore either and neither do my friends, so a sports bar would be minus the bar part for us. lol This does look like a good fight card though and I doubt Brock Lesnar gets out of the first round with Overheem(I think that's how you spell it)

Yeah it'll be interesting to see how Brock fares especially after that hiatus. To be honest I'm more excited about the Nam fight and maybe even the Janitor fight. I'll see what I'm up to next weekend (it's crazy that this fight is the day before New Year's eve..) but if I hang out with a buddy of mine I'm sure this event is worth dropping 5 bucks for a couple beers.

Most sports bars have cover charges to watch a pay-per-view and the ones that don't always get overcrowded with idiots. Since its a weekend night, there's likely no drink specials so you will be paying a left nut for overpriced drinks which is never fun.

I suppose it depends on location. I don't know what you mean by "overcrowded with idiots" as the ones I go to are usually only filled with regular UFC fans. Not that it matters. The crowd is pretty regular for a weekend crowd. And the prices? Like I said, I usually pay 5 to 10 bucks for a couple beers and I get a free PPV out of it. No cover charge. You must have some pretty lousy bars in your area if there are idiots overcrowding it and they give you cover charges.

I watch all UFC pay-per-views at my local Buffalo Wild Wings. Ones close to Stations Casinos don't show it though, unfortunately. There's no cover to get in, but you should actually order something every now and again if you're there for a while. If you have a Bdubs where you live, go like an hour and a half early to get a table, or you'll be standing at the entrance all night.

Also, on UFC's website, they have a link that shows you what places near you are showing it. Look them up and call around to see if there's a cover and when it gets packed.
