And yeah, there's a struggle system. Every submission attempt is basically broken down into two stuggles. So for example, one struggle will position an arm bar, and the second stuggle will execute it. To pull it off and win, you'd have to win both struggles.
So basically the whole game is a series of reversals. Just like MMA is.
I haven't had the chance to go hands on with the game yet, but I've spoken to several people who have, and they've all said that they were pleseantly surprised so far. So that's a good sign...

sounds sweet. especially the part about it being one thing to position the sub, but another to actually pull it off.i guess i can picture a bunch of SF type movements of the sticks to be pulling off subs. should make for an interesting ground game and great one if done right. hopefully they realistically portray the fighters to differentiate their skill sets so you want to keep it on your feet with a banger, or get it on the ground if you have good jits.
have you heardhow many fighers in game?any legends of past? be cool to seethe miletich, gracies, and shamrocks in game.though their affiliation with other orgs prob prevent that from happening being its a UFC game, NOT MMA. pulver maybe? with WEC which is part of UFC so that could happen...
so many possibilities...have to check it out. thanks for the info.
No, there won't be an classic fighters or legends, unless they're still with the UFC - i.e. Randy Couture. They're saying 80 fighters across 5 weight divisions. So that's not actually that many.
Check out www.ufcundisputed.com. It's shaping up pretty nicely. You can see the fighters in their 3D forms, and some videos.
