Awesome. I don't think i've ever been this surpised about a game. I went from thinking "there's no way a UFC game could be good" to thinking "must buy".
Cool.. the demo didn't blow me away, but it was still very interesting. I was kind of annoyed that my opponent only developed a slight limp (and the second time I tried it, not even that!) even though I was doing nothing but kicking him in the same leg for three rounds. And I still don't understand a lot of the control scheme, but it sounds like the career mode will do a better job of easing one into it.

When I first saw this game about 1 year ago, I was very skeptical about it, but they really did a nice job on trying to capture the essence of MMA in a video game.

Probably because you don't know how to use your kicks, you're not the only horrible player at the demo. Aside from this comment though, the game is gonna be amazing, can't wait for this tuesday. Already mastered expert and looking forward to the online matches :D

I dont trust any scores really, except for what my friends think of it and the community. Reviewers usually dont play every aspect of the game. Besides i go with my gut and my gut is telling me this game will be good.

So what's the "right" way to use my kicks? I try and make sure they get the proper slap sound and the announcers make comments on my kicks, so they can't all be ineffective :P
"Game is fun" but i watch too much mixed martial arts (UFC, extreme XC) and i also train in mixed martial arts and a few things annoy me.
I was able to mount Mauricio "Shogun" Rua with freaking Chuck Liddel. That absolutely would never happen in the known universe. Little things like that keep me from liking the game. =(
it plays great, and its fun but whenever your in a clench on the floor, it kinda looks like they're getting it on,. lol sorry, im extremely immature. and was cracking up for a long time after the first time i saw it

It's not like Chuck is any good on the ground anyways - they balanced it so no one would ever want to mount Shogun. It doesn't happen in UFC because it'd be a bad idea for Chuck to do so.

You missed my point. Him doing so being a bad idea isn't the problem. Him being able to do it period, now that......

People do get caught sometimes....its highly unlikely he'd be able to mount shogun, but I mean damn...give Chuck some credit on the ground there.
I'm not a huge fan of fighting games, but I downloaded the demo to give it a go, and I've been playing it for 2 hours now. First day buy for me as of now.
