to be honest, FN is a great game, but after discovering how exciting MMA is, boxing looks like a sleeping match with those big gloves and one minded track.
I have played the UFC 2009 demo and was impressed but dearly loved playing Fight Night Round 3, so I am going to wait for a demo and reviews of FNR 4. As I am not really into any style of fighting, I'm just going to plump for the best game. Having played the demo as I say, I can see where the comment about boxing feeling slow compared to MMA comes from. The speed of the gameplay seen in footage so far for FNR4 however looks much faster than FNR3. We will have to see.
Everything about UFC is good except the striking, which is kinda lame.. it feels really robotic and the amount of hits you can get in seems totally unrealistic. They should've gone less fighter more sim. I know FNR3 isnt better, but I really like the punching mechanics and I predict FNR 4 to be totally awesome.
Plus the career mode in FNR 3 was somewhat interesting, hopefully they improve upon it on 4.. UFC's career mode is pretty boring from the start.
just tried the FN demo, gotta say im really dissappointed. it just sucked period. felt like i was fighting with sockem bopers or whatever the hell they are.
The Fight Night demo was garbage, worst controls I've ever dealt with.
Theres no way I will be picking that up.
Maybe when its $19.99 on clearance I agree with the people who said "ROck em Sockem boppers" . Endless punching. Horrible demo, o and like someone else said you sit there and play it and then you start to realize something is wrong. Especially with all the .hype it had or has.The Fight Night demo was garbage, worst controls I've ever dealt with.
Theres no way I will be picking that up.
