to play on dedicated servers.... I don't have any money right now for that content but i need to know which packs i need to buy to play on dedicated servers, thx.

Yep they changed that about 2-3 months ago. haven't touched that game since, epic can go to hell.

My friend and I play TDM No DLC.. I believe some modes do still have dedicated servers, others don't...

You can still play on dedicated servers TC just play in the no DLC playlist. Also I don't see the hate for EPIC, Call of duty and its map packs and Elite are more of a rip off than anything Epic did with gears 3. Yet people gladly hand over 50 dollars of COD dlc, I don't understand it really.

Even if you have all the DLC your not guarenteed to play on a dedicated server, dedicated servers are only for ranked matched with DLC and only about half of the games played there are actually on dedicated servers.

Call of Duty doesn't lock you out of playlists if you don't own DLC. MW2, Black Ops and MW3. You can play the games perfectly fine without DLC

I'm waiting for Gears of War 3 GOTY because I knew they'd DLC the heck out of Gears 3 like they did Gears 2.

That's true, but CoD on X360 has never and most likely will never have dedicated servers.. But like you said, at least not having DLC doesn't keep you limited from enjoying the game you paid for. I didn't realize Epic locked out dedicated servers to those who don't have DLC. Considering that dedicated servers were one of their biggest selling points for the game, that's a load of crap.

One of the reasons why I stopped playing.chilly-chill

I liked Gears 3 up until that point. Epic toted the dedicated servers as one of the big draws, and now you have to buy DLC to get good use out of them. Any support I had for them is gone. It's true you can still play on the DS without extra content, but you are limited to one playlist with very few players in it. Overall trashy move by Epic, imo.

BTW TC, if you are still interested, I took a look at the FAQ on their forums, looks like you need the "Fenix Rising" DLC if you really want to play on the servers.

I know :xI still go back to Gears 1 occasionally, it still has some fun. At least enough to get my Gears fix.

Same here, I'm done with Gears now because of that. I was a hardcore Gears 1 player, hated 2 but I was very happy about 3 because they fixed just about everything especially the movement. I don't wanna pay for DLC to play on dedicated servers though so I'm done... I also tried going back to Gears 1 but it's just so ridiculously restricted comapred to Gears 3 that it's not even worth it.
