Completely different games
Might as well be talking about car racing and Tetris
I disagree with you, many people (including myself) have compared these two games, they both have RPG elements (even tho one is alot stronger on the RPG end than the other), they are pretty similar and fall under the same category....I'm not comparing Forza to Halo or anything crazy like that...Exactly. Things like writing and plot are being overlooked here, big time.iShane
That's because niether game has a good plot or well-written writing.
Borderlands wins in pretty much every category for me I found Fallout to be very bland and boring. And am I the only one to think its one of the ugliest games this gen? I know its post apocalyptic but damn they could of eased off the grey and brown a little :D
Lol! You cant compare these games, totally different. But if i had to pick one I would pick fallout 3 easy.

Exactly! ;-)Exactly what's up with comparing these two games? Might as well compare L4D and Cod:waw since they both have zombies..Completely different games

Fallout. More details, world is more fun to explore, more enemies, quests are complex, atmosphere is much better.
Ask this in a few months k? Its just the hype of the game just coming out a few weeks ago. Fallout 3 has way more to offer than Borderlands.
That can be very true...agreed... Although one huge thing that makes Borderlands better than Fallout IMO is the fact that it has not only co-op split screen but also 4 player co-op online....thats really a huge factor for me. It seems to be getting harder and harder for me to sit and play through a whole game single player, but maybe its just me....Ask this in a few months k? You've just basically described the premise of Borderlands, so yeah, if that's what your criteria for 'better' is, it's going to be better. Without the co-op, Borderlands is just a grindfest.
Fallout has deeper RPG elements, more developed story, and better character animations/dialoge.
I'm not voting one way or the other; I like them both, but they're not really all that similar.

Because water isn't the most important resource on earth or anything...
Fallout 3. The quests actually had some story to them and were all fun to complete not just random fetch quests like most of Borderlands.
I really wish Borderlands had more story to it. Still a great game and I recommend it but Fallout 3 was better... even though I don't think these two games really compare. Really different imo.

Borderlands is NOT an RPG/FPS it is a FPS with RPG elements therefore it is called a FPS/RPG and not a RPG/FPS.The fact I can play with my friends puts Borderlands over the top for me, which is a better game, likely Fallout 3, which is a better game for me personally? Borderlands.
Exactly. Things like writing and plot are being overlooked here, big time.iShane
Yeah. Borderlands doesn't even try with the story, and FO3 trys, and fails miserably. A massive filtering machine isn't necessary to filter radiation from water for crying out loud.

How do you know? Have you tried? Also its too clean all the water not a tiny bit.

Um yea, cause if there wasnt any water everyone would still be ok right lol?

Comparing fallout to borderlands IS like comparing forza to halo. You cant play an rpg looking for great fps. And you cant play a fps looking for great rpg. They both do somethings good and somethings bad, and having co-op gives borderlands the bigger lead.

I haven't tried, but its common knowledge that filtering water through earth removes radiation from it. So why is a massive filtration system needed when people can just go and filter it themselves?
Fallout for sure. Borderlands is a joke compared to Fallout. I enjoyed Borderlands up until the last two bosses and just kind of gave up on the game... I mean really? Really??? That was the best they could come up with for the ending..

Its better than the joke of an ending for FO3. A crappy final boss, and a ridiculous ending choice. And then when I finally pay for the proper ending (Broken Steel), my choice has no consequence at all.

Your going to filter radiated water through RADIATED GROUND, what would that do?
