I set up the Windoes Media Center connection with my 360 earlier in the week and toggled on the setting that makes my laptop go into some irregular stage when I close its lid so my 360 can access its files. But it's making my laptop hotter than usual so I uninstalled the connection between the two but my laptop still goes into that weird state when I close the lid. I even tried to re-install the connection hoping the option to toggle the setting would come up again, it didn't. Does anyone know how to fix this problem so my laptop can go back to its original "sleep" state when I close its lid?

Yeah, I did, it's in the normal setting, and it's supposed to go to sleep mode when I close the lid, but it doesnt.

Sounds like that to me. Control Panel, then Power Settings and there should be a setting that defines what happens when the lid is closed. My guess is it's set to "Do Nothing" or something like that. Just set it to "Standby".
