So i ask my self the question "Should i buy the xbox 360?" all the time. I hear many good things about and im sure that i will hear alot of good thing here since it is a 360 forum, but i will need you to be honest. i have many questions about so i hope you guys can help me out.

Is the System ,games and assecories worth the money?

Is the 360 starting to be old and going to be an obsolete sytem soon?

Is there anything besides playing games on 360?

Are there enough games to keep me occupied till the system dies?

How long do you think the 360 will die?It would be great if you tell me everything about it and dont just give me all pros, try to list the cons (i would perfer it if you try to list all the cons you can think of)

List all the games that is worth getting since the 360 was realesed, i like just about any games that is fun, but no kid games ex. viva pinata

Thanks to all those who can help, i would appreciate it alot

Is the System ,games and assecories worth the money? It's an expensive hobby. I think it's worth it though.

Is the 360 starting to be old and going to be an obsolete sytem soon? PS2 was the most obsolete console last generation hardware-wise, but it kept going like an energizer battery; good games were coming out for it for a long time...

Is there anything besides playing games on 360? Not too much, but it's a gaming console, isn't it?

Are there enough games to keep me occupied till the system dies?Yes. Mass Effect and Too Human (assuming it's as awesome as I think it'll be) will keep you going for a looooong time.

How long do you think the 360 will die?It would be great if you tell me everything about it and dont just give me all pros, try to list the cons (i would perfer it if you try to list all the cons you can think of) I'd say 2011.

Alright well i've had mine since October 2006 and to tell you the truth I hated the Xbox and was ps fanboy but got sick of waiting for the PS3 and finnaly got the 360 when i saw it on sale at Wal-Mart.

Anyways it is a great system with lots of great games and I was really surprised when I first got it on what you can do with it. Some pros are:

The In-game messaging and friends list thing. ( where you have friends from evrey game on one list.)

You can listen too music form your IPOd, or burn CD's onto the hard drive.

Great games although not to sure about the line up for 2008 as most are Multiplat.

Controller is quite nice.

Marketplace has some cool things too download and you can rent movies through your Xbox360.

Gamerscore is pretty cool if your in to beating games and unlocking achievements.

Some Cons are:

RRod is a pain in the ass. ( i've had it once. Aswell i had to repair my Xbox360 for not being able to read disks. In all ive gone through 3 Xbox 360's)

As mentioned the 2008 line up isn't too good IMO.

This is all I could think of so IMO you should get it but I would still consider the other 2 systems and see which one appeals to you more.

Hope I could help.

The 360 is a great system. I owned a Wii for a few months before I got mine, but ever since, I love playing it.

My recommendation is if you want to go on-line for just demos and the like with your system, get the Arcade version and buy the hard drive later if you want to really play on-line.

As for accessories, if you have broadband in the house, just buy a CAT5 (Ethernet) cable and use that. The headsets are useless unless you go online with them. If you are puting the 360 on carpet, buy a stand of some kind. The newer ones do not overheat as easily, but best to be safe.

Lastly, games. Here are my recommendations:

Dead Rising

Saint's Row

TES IV - Black Box

Dynasty Warriors 6 - At last, time for a swim and evading dogs.

Test Drive Unlimited - A must for car lovers.

Burnout Paradise - I love wrecking rides.

There you are. Enjoy.

Is the System, games, and accessories worth the money?

Worth every penny, but whatever you do. Please buy the Xbox 360 Pro (comes with 20g harddrive). The Xbox 360 Arcade is a total rip off. In my humble opinion, it is the best Console system to date. Yes, better than PS3. That's why I picked one up. And I use to be a PS2 Fanboy, not anymore, friend.

Is the 360 starting to be old and going to be an obsolete system soon?

The Xbox 360 still has a good 2-4 years left in it. You have nothing to worry. If the Xbox 360 becomes obsolete, PS3 along with Nintendo Wii will be as well. Do you not know the pattern of Console systems? Well, ask somebody. This is the best time to grab an Xbox 360 because you'll have just enough time to pick up the top games from 2007. By the time you finish the 2007 games, the 2008 ones will just about come out by then.

Is there anything besides playing games on 360?

Not really sure what you mean. You mean DVD? Going on Xbox live, you can download songs, movies, all into your little harddrive. So make sure you get an Xbox 360 that comes with a harddrive. You'll need one anyways.

Are there enough games to keep me occupied till the system dies?

Enough games? Bah. PLENTY. You have the classic/discounted games like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (that's like 200+hours of gameplay), Dead Rising, NFS series, PGR, so many, you'll have to search it online. They're going for $30 or less! Oblivion for $30, that's a steal! Now for the older games, but still popular today are games like Crackdown, Rainbow Six: Las Vegas, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, Gears of War ( a must have title). And then you have the more recent titles that are hot on the market like Halo 3, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, BioShock (a must have title), so many more! And then you have the upcoming releases like: Lost Oddyssey, Grand Theft Auto IV, Devil May Cry 4, Turok, Burnout Paradise, Fable 2, Resident Evil 5. Here's a link for upcoming releases in 2008: http://forums.gametrailers.com/showthread.php?t=266897

I hope that helps. Get one, you wont regret it. Thanks for reading.

Look into the games on it. If there's 3-5 games out now you are interested in and a more that might grab your intrest down the road go for it. I looked at the ps3 and 360 (own a wii) and I liked the games roster on the 360 more. What made me go with the 360 was that most the games I wanted for ps3 were on the 360 and only like 1-2 I wanted for the ps3. So look into both consoles and decide what would be better for you in the long run.

Honestly, normaly I am willing to help users with these sorts of dilema but in your case you havn't even done any research or you could ahve answered a lot of these questions yourself. You should never let anyone else determine a purchase for you. Research in a consumer electronic is very important if you want to be happy with your final product and posting on a forum of a specific product is not going to give you "whole" information.
