Underappreciated games...

I was thinking about making myself a top ten list for a blog post and it got me thinking... I really loved some games that are waayy too unappreciated by the gaming public...

For example, this generation, I really really loved Blazing Angels 2, it truly was a fantastic game and it never got the props that it deserved. Last Gen, Call of Cthulhu got the short end, a fantastic game on so many levels.

Which games do you think were amazing that were completely overlooked by the gaming public?

Marvel Ultimate Alliance doesnt get enough love imo. It needs more.

On a last gen note, i agree with Cthulu, i loved that games. Also Cold Fear was vastly underappreciated, it got entirely overshadowed by Resident Evil 4, and although Resi 4 deserved the attention, Cold Fear didnt deserve to be left out in the dust, it was a great game.

The Witcher, DIRT...

Shadowrun, sure, it's essentially online only, but, it delivers online.

Blue Dragon, hated by many, but, a rich involved story and traditional mechanics make this game a great one.

Two Worlds, not perfect by ANY stretch, graphics only slightly better than Oblivion, but, engaging skill system, and complete freedom to do anything from slaughter towns to steal horses makes up for the very basic main story.

Gun, called "easy points" rather than "good solid game" by many, open ended wild west shooter, made by a top level studio, delivers an authentic "feel" and slow gunning action...which is precisely what people hated.

Kameo, come on, it's under $15 NEW, and it's still superb.

This Gen on the 360:Marvel: AU, Crackdown, Saint's Row, Dead Rising, The Darkness, Army of Two, Dark Sector, Viva Pinata, Condemned: Criminal Origins.

Last gen on the PS2:Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, The Suffering, Killzone, Project Snowblind.

I know there are probably more, but those were the first that came to mind.

ok first of all, theres a "call of cthulhu" game? if so is it based on like the lovecraft story? PM me on that if you have info...

also, deadrising, good game, everyone knows of it, hella fun yet doesnt seem to get credit
