Used 360?

Is it wise to pick up an used 360? My brother is thinking about getting but doesn't really want to pick up a new one he doesn't play games too often. So whats your opinion its alright to get a used 360 (no 3 rings of death) or should just save the extra funds and get a new one?

well.. with gamestop they allow you to return used stuff for 30 days.. so if it already had the rrod and it just was an " on and off" issue, then i'm sure within 30 days it would show up. but its still a risk that I wouldn't be willing to spend...

If you buy the pro system new you get 2 games, a HDD, a headset, and 1 month of live... so in the end it will still be cheaper for you to just buy a new one.

I have a friend who bought a used 360, and from what he told me,it turned out that the previous owner wound up getting banned from Live, so he couldn't go online. Lesson learned the hard way, I guess.
