personally i wouldn't do it...alot of people have traded in their freezing 360's...my advice would be to save up a little bit more and just get a new one....best of luck to you.

Yeah Gamestop/EB has been terrible ever since EB was bought by Gamestop. Right now I wouldn't do it. But back when they were both seperate I would of told you go for it.

Buy a new system and get an extended warranty from Microsoft that is the best way to go.

I wouldn't do it either - usually when a console comes in on trade at the game stores, they turn it on for 5 minutes make sure it looks fine and take it in. Issues like overheating or 3 red lights are not usually detectable in that short amount of time and won't show up until you get the console home and are an hour into a game.

pay the extra $50 or $100 to get a new one - you'll be happier in the long run.

I bought a used 360 from gamestopwith a 1 year warrenty and had to take it back the same day because it had the three red lights. They gave me another used one and this one has had no problems at all so far(3 months). I say get the used one and just buy the gamestop 1 year replacement warrenty with it, it will end up costing the same price as a new one but if something happens to it you can just take it back there and pick up a new one.
