Using a friend's XBL downloaded content

In particular, my friend recovered his gamertag on my Xbox and we attempted to play Halo 3 online. I had not downloaded the Legendary Maps, but he was able to download them a second time onto my Xbox, but when we tried to play Swat, it said we didn't have them. They're on my hard drive.

Is there any way to make them active under my Gamertag so I can play on them?

Sign out of your Gamertag and play under his...also you must do this everytime you wanna use the maps LMAO.
