Did you use the Best Buy card when you bought it? If you did, then they will have that information in the computer.
Also, if you wanna keep you hard drive ask them to take the one in the box and let you keep yours. If they say no, tell them that yours has personal information on it, or just as for a core.Danold
that was one thing that i was thinking of too
man, i really hope they don't need that receipt
nah you should be all set cause if u got the reawrds card u r in the comp.. but if not.. might have a little harder time.. and all you need to bring in is ur actual system no wires or n ethign like thatMannyBatch

Take all the cables and controller if you want new stuff. You can keep the HDD though.

what about for the premium, and with that i can just bring in the xbox and theyll give me a new one on the spot.
cause once i had a PRP for a mp3 player and i had to call and mail it to them then they sent me a gift card for the cost a few days later.

i believe it is $50 for 2 years for the premium
I work at best buy. If u paid using a debit card credit card or best buy card they can look up your receipt there. If you paid by cash there is no way too look it up unless you used reward zone.
You dont need to have everything. Whatever you bring is what you're gonna get in the new box.

but what if the only record that they will have is the verification stamp that is on my warranty brochure thing; can i still use it?
If the warranty brochure was printed through their recipt printer, then those numbers represent your warranty claim number (should u ever need it) - and you should have no problems at the store
On the other hand, if they just took a rubber stamp with their store number and stamped it ona warranty brochure, then there is no proof you actually paid for the extended warranty, and your SOL

i can't remember, but it definitely looks like it was printed through the receipt printer
thanks
with the best buy warranty can you return your 360 as many times as it breaks over the two year period?kakkarott23
this is the first time i am using it, that's why i am asking so many questions; but i have no idea if u can reuse it
i am going to try to use the warranty in about 4 hours (i have plans before-hand); i will let u all know how it went

no
YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! the Best Buy warranty worked when all i had was the warranty brochure with the verification stamp; however, it did require that all materials be with the console because i forgot to put in the headset, so the employee said they had to open the new xbox 360 to remove the headset, but that is no big dealtennisacerg

well i could have, but i didn't; if i were to have left my harddrive at home then they would have taken the harddrive from the new xbox 360, but i didn't bother, because i didn't have very many "in-progress" saves
