Using laptop to get xbox live

I recently had to refomat my laptop and I was using it for internet on my xbox 360, I know it is possible to do it this way as i used to use it like that forever, I just cant remember what you have to do in the network settins to make it work, I know i had to go in and open something i just cant remember, Can anyone tell me please its windows vista

yes its possible you use an ethernet cable its how i have been getting internet on my xbox since i got it, i just gotta do something in network and sharing i just cant remember cause i reformatted

It can work as it is what I am doing, just through my PC and not a laptop. Anyways, you go to Network Connections, right click on the connection that your laptop has to the internet and click on Properties. Then go to the Advanced tab and check the Internet Sharing box. Hope that helps

Using a crossover cable (not just a regular ethernet cable) connect your xbox 360 to your laptop. Then in the network settings, select the connection that your xbox is plugged into, and the connection that you get your internet connection from, and then right click and select 'Bridge Connections.'

I did that with my mac but my connection was pretty poor - I just came to terms that I can't play XBL during the summer when I'm home from school.
