Hey guys I have a quick question. I have the Xbox 360 Premium and I also have the 2 year product replacement warranty from Best Buy. I have been having alot of issues(insert a disc - brand new halo 3 disc is in, disc is dirty - brand new disc is in there, etc) with my xbox and I want to get a different one. Do I just get my receipt, put all my stuff in my 360 box (ya i saved it all for this occassion) except my hard drive and just take it to Best buy? Am I able to get the Elite if I bring some extra money to the table? Any help on this process would be amazing. Thanks!

A swap is guaranteed, an upgrade...well I don't know for sure. Your best bet is to just ask when you get there. Worst case is you get a shiny new 360, best case is you pay a couple bucks and get an elite...the only problem I see with upgrading is you need to transfer your data from your 20 gig HDD to the new elite HDD, for that you need a transfer cable. That is going to be your major hurdle in your quest to upgrade with your replacement plan.

You get to keep your hard drive if you want. However, if you upgrade to the Elite, you have to pay the price difference between the two models and then pay for an additional 2 year warranty.

But, in order to transfer your data between the 2 HDDs you need to have both in your posession...along with the transfer cable.

no need to transfur your data. you can play all your games again, anything you DL is linked to your gamer tag, so you can just redownload it for free. It best to get a new HDD with your new 360, as your hdd could be the reason its messed up. I know it happen to my firend, M$ fixed his 360, only to find out it was his Hdd that was busted.
