Is there any news on whether there is gonna be mods for the 360 version. It's sad really that microsoft wont allow it due to their strict xbox live rules :(. What are your opinions Xbox 360 fans? Do you think Epic will find their way around it and hopefully microsoft will let them, because if they dont its going to do microsoft alot of crap because new games from other publishers might allow user created content. I just hope the 360 version will be able too.

wouldn;t it be really easy for pro hackers to create a virus and simply upload it....it could easily just crash the ps3's or something....don;t quote me on this...I am not a technicaly but...but if they are allowing user content to be uploaded I wouldn;t be surprised if the thing gets destroyed by hackers

Actually the content made on the pc has to be submitted and then epic then puts the content onto the ps3 store for download. So theres not really any chance of viruses. I hope this happens for 360 too otherwise it would suck.
What? A basic map editor? Sorry, but I would rather play actual modifications or total conversions not just maps that were created with basic tools. I highly doubt that MS will allow it without a fee though.
Im pretty sure the 360 version is gonna havea map editor anyways, no mod stuff because the 360 is a closed platform unlike the PS3 that is why the PS3 is getting the ability to transfer mods and user created content from the PC to the PS3 and the PS3 also is getting a map editor, and the fact that it is an opened sourced platform it will prolly get online cross platform play with the PC because epic is not gonna do games for windows live with UT3. But wouldnt it be cool if Microsoft allowed Epic the rights to let you connect to their main UT3 servers from the 360, but nope, and the fact that in GI it said they had to slow down the console version because lack of mouse and keyboard this might not even happen with PS3 version but it could because PS3 can us mouse and keyboard and Microsoft dont want to confuse the kids that the 360 is not a PC...why :roll:
The reason mods can work on ps3 is because it has an open online system.Xbox live is a set system that has to meet certain criteria.PSN games can have whatever they want.So if they worked it out they could make UT3(ps3) vs ut3(pc) against eachother.PS3 would get slaughtered,but they could do it.

you are so wrong dude, epic acually confirmed this. if there were viruses in the mods, epic will search it then submit it to the consoles. easy
Yes, user mods for PS3 confirmed. The rumor is Epic is taking a stand on MS, and will not release their game if they dont allow user mods. I think this is great, because if Epic succeeds, this will open the door to some umods in more games, and that is a very good thing.

YES it is happening the devs have said it and sony has said they will embrace mods and other user created content. Its the the psn was built. Epic also said that MS has refused and will continue to refuse to allow user mods for their games. Reason being? How will MS regulate and make money of said content. Mods on the 360 are not going to happen
Being a long time modder and now a profetional digital artist, I would like to make the point that over the time the better games got the worse mods were and the harder it gets to come by something realy special. Don't worry you wont miss THAT much, and even if you do, get a pc :P
