I just have a few questions for you guys to do with the Xbox 360 being vertical or horizontal.

How do you have yours?

Which way is better?

I currently have mine vertical because it is the only way it will fit into my setup.

horizontal, you block one of the main vents if you have it vertical, also if you knock it over you will destroy the disks

had it vertical until my Mom moved it while it was playing a game and destroyed said game. It's been horizontal ever since.

I did some research before i got it last Christmas, and apparently, it is better to have your 360 horizontal for cooling purposes. so i keep my 360 horizontal

oh and you wont knock it over, which will ruin the game you playing

The side vents are nothing. The most important vent in your 360 would be at the bottom which you block if you're standing it vertically.

Keep your xbox horizontally trust me. Vertical will increase your chances of disc scratching, and blocks the main vent.

My bottem vent is the exit flow...Which means it dosent matter if its semi blocked b/c the air if passing away from the system. I dont know if that is just mine though.

Are you guys sure?

When the console is vertical, you're blocking the vents on the side that gets hot the most - the GPU (I may completely wrong, fix me if I am - I just know its always the hottest side whenever I touch my 360). Anyone has any links backing up this horizontal over vertical thing?

The disks also run better with it horizontal, because it is easier for the disk to spin. Like I was watching a movie that was pretty scratched up, and it was choppy with the 360 vertical, and when i put it horizontal it ran smoothly.

because vertic ur not blocking vents its just a faceplate horizontal u block 2 of the vents but the focus of keeping the heat down is just not blocking the back fan vents thats were the heat get vaccumed out.

alot of peoples overheat prob is cuz they use inter cooler laptop coolers 360 pushes heat out all thoes things do is push the heat back in thats 90% of rrod if witnessed was stupid cooling methods.

i dont stand consoles up because of several obvious reasons. 1. it could be blocking a vent. 2. vertical space. 3. disc scratching. 4. FALLING OVER!!!
