Hey, I don't have any spots to put in the red and white AV cables into my monitor. Does this mean I can't play with sound? Is there any way I can get sound?

you have to buy a splitter cord which you connect the red and white male plug ins to a red and white female input and it transfers the two cords to a green plug in, then you connect the speakers or audio device there, im not to sure what the splitter cord is called though

Didn't you put the red and white cables into the sockets that they're suppose to connect to?

there are no sockets to put them into.

Yes, or headphones. You can also just plug in the white and red into a surround sound system, but if you dont have that dont worry.

You can use an optical cable that goes from the base of the VGA ccable and plug that into a stereo reciever for sound.

dont worry its pretty simple. i did the same thing with mymonitor. the vga cable comes with the splitter that turns it into a male connector. the only problem is that you need to plug it into a headset jack on a computer or other device with one and then play it back threw that... or you can buy asplitterthat turns it into a female jack and then you just plug your speakers or headphones into that.
