I guess most players like playing with vibration on and so did I before the wireless controllers era. Now I turn it off because it seems to drain batteries way too fast. How about you, do you keep it on or off? If off, why?

Rechargeable batteries?

It's not worth getting less of an experience out of games because I don't want to charge some batteries

I keep it on considering I have a Plug 'n Play Charge Kit so it doesn't matter if it drains.

The vibration broke in my controller so i got used to having it off. Then my controller completely packed in so i bought a new one and the vibration is really off-putting :P It was driving me crazy, especially when i was sniping and going for accurate shots, so i just keep it off.

On. I tried it off when I heard the MLG guys mostly keep it off. It just felt wrong. I get my batteries at costco for cheap so not such a big deal.

I have it turned off because for some reason every time my controller vibrates it goes off even if the batteries are fully charged. This goes for both of my controllers. They've taken a bit of abuse though. I need a new controller or two.

I also play with vibration on. I need that feedback from the controller that I've hit something, or shot a gun, etc... I rarely notice it anymore, I've just gotten used to it, but I know that if I ever turned it off I wouldn't be able to play the same. Something would feel off.

This,if you play the RPG's that I play the rumble feature is a must for hit detection, and for shooters...well I can't play shooters without rumble or else the the game becomes boring IMO, no more recoil, kicks from shotguns, ground rumbling etc...

On... why would you turn it off? Batteries are rechargeable (and they charge quick too), plus they last a really long time anyway, even with vibration enabled. I personally see no reason to disable it unless you just happen to find it annoying.

it depends on the game. some games seem to make the controller vibrate for seemingly no reason every 3 seconds, i turn it off for those to keep my batteries from dying. i dont mind having a lot of rumble, but if it makes no sense to rumble the controller and it does it, im just gonna turn it off.

I keep it on all the time. It's 2010, not 1990.

And even with a wireless controller, my batteries last 20 hours or more. Swapping them takes all of ten seconds - not a big hardship.

i know everyone don't have the xbox 360 recharge battery but dang from my experiences and btw i put a lot gaming hours in like 5-6hrs if not the weekend and my battery last me about 3-4 days average before i have to even think about charging it. I don't see why people turn it off just to save juice, rechargeable batter's are so cheep now days its not funny.. battery that don't even recharge shouldn't even still be in business if it wasn't for likes of people to lazy to do something that takes 15 secs to plug something in at night like there cells phones. I'm shocked those disposable battery's for cells phones didn't boom-rocketed because of people like that

I definitely keep it on. Have been playing with the rumble feature since it came out on the ps1. Just guess I have gotten used to it being there for so long it is weird without it. I went out and bought a dualshock 3 for the ps3 when it came out just because I hated the fact that the ps3 didn't have rumble at first lol.
